I require a lot out of my blender, and this blender by JAWZ doesn't disappoint! This has a variable speed control dial that includes 10 settings to really customize how you want to blend. I was really looking for a blender with this type of amenity because I like to make everything from green smoothies to oat/nut milks and this variable speed dial makes it easy to powerfully make most anything. I love that this makes my oat/nut milks super creamy and perfect. This blender is super sturdy, and even though it is a bit heavy, I enjoy knowing that this appliance is built well, with enough heft to keep it standing, even when blending super thick ingredients/recipes. I can't get over the power that this blender has and how smoothly it works! It even comes with a recipe book that has very easy and delicious recipes in it. And when you're all done blending, it's a cinch to clean. This is a little on the loud side, but this is to be expected with the high quality blending it does. Bought this to replace a Commercial Vitamix the still works but the metal pitcher broke and could not find a replacement. I use the blender for bulletproof coffee and coconut milk and it works great. Clean up is easy as it has a clean button. I have made a smoothie but since I do not use ice I do not know how well that goes, though there is a crushed ice button. When did blenders become so expensive? I make a lot of fruit smoothies and other various smoothies. This blender has power and is easy to clean. The only thing I was hoping for is that it still does not fully break up the seeds on strawberries even on high for over a minute. There is some breakdown of the seeds but not fully. I understand the $500 models can do this. But over all the price, the features, etc. This blender works great. I choose the variable speed so I can have more options. I have put in apple chunks, orange chunks, bananas, frozen berries, powders, vitamins, etc... No issues. I would like to see a smaller jar for single servings, that would be awesome. The main jar is big and it is a learning curve to figure out one large cup serving without wasting. My son often has one small glass left over and gives it to me, so bonus there. The jar is thick plastic and is not overly heavy but sturdy. I like the mounting posts it sits on and the geared teeth that turn the blade. The blade is sharp to some extent. I rinse it and use a long scrub brush to quickly wash it when I am done. 30 seconds tops. You can add water and turn it on but it just takes too much time in my opinion. ... show more

I had this blender for 1 year. It spent most of its time sitting on the counter and I used it maybe once a month. I loved it. It was powerful and blended a lot very quickly and did a great job of making a super smooth smoothie. However, I'm giving it 1 star because of longevity. I had this for one year when the teeth on the gear that turns the blender stripped out and stopped working. I ALWAYS kept my hand on the top to push the blender down. The way this is designed, and with its power, I don't see how you could operate it without holding it down. But, I'm making a smoothie when I hear this wretched sound. I shut it off immediately, lifted the cup and found metal shards and a stripped out gear. I wondered about those tiny teeth on the gears when it first arrived. Apparently, that was the exact point of weakness on this blender. Such a shame, because I really liked it. ... show more

I like everything about this blender. I was researching blenders in order to find one that gave my smoothies a smoother, creamier consistency. The Vitamix was much too expensive, and I was going to settle for the Blendtec until I found JAWZ. The JAWZ blender boasted a 3.5 horsepower comparable to the top-rated blenders. I watched the videos showing how everything seemed to blend so well, and I read numerous highly rated consumer reviews about how pleased they were with their purchase. I was also looking for a blender to make nut butter and when I saw that JAWZ was able to do that also, I was sold. When it came, I made a smoothie right away. The directions for the operation of the machine were easy to follow and very simple. The smoothie that I initially made and all those that have followed have been smooth, creamy and just what I wanted. I use the blender 3 to 5 times a day and it remains powerful and continues to render a great product. I haven't used it to make nut butter yet, but I am expecting to not be let down. One of my favorite features on this blender is the CLEAN cycle. I have to be sure that the lid is on very tightly or the force of the cleaning will blow it off.
