I was looking for a nice blender that wasn't amazingly expensive. I looked at Pampered Chef and Vitamix and those were way out of range. On the other side of things, I found blenders around $100 that seemed to fall apart and break pretty often. The Jawz was priced in between and seemed to be made of quality components, so I decided to give it a shot. I've made plenty of smoothies with it and my husband has been very impressed - never before have we been able to have smoothies at home that are the same consistency as smoothies you would buy when out and about. It blends easily and offers a smooth drink, though it is very loud. Understandable, since it's literally chopping frozen stuff up really fast. It has a safety switch and is very robust. It's easy to clean and use, and storage hasn't been a challenge (though the base is quite tall - be sure to check it's height before you buy to make sure it will fit in your cabinets). We had a Vitamix from the 80s that still worked, but needed a replacement part (I gave it to my parents and they fixed it up). Overall, the ease-of-use of this one is superior to the old one, and I'm happy to have made the switch. I can't say how it compares to current Vitamix models, though. If you're looking for a solid blender that's easy to use and offers "smooth smoothies," I would recommend this one. If you've got tons of money to spend or need to do some specialist-type things, those in the more expensive price range might offer more options as far as what you can do with the machine. ... show more

I require a lot out of my blender, and this blender by JAWZ doesn't disappoint! This has a variable speed control dial that includes 10 settings to really customize how you want to blend. I was really looking for a blender with this type of amenity because I like to make everything from green smoothies to oat/nut milks and this variable speed dial makes it easy to powerfully make most anything. I love that this makes my oat/nut milks super creamy and perfect. This blender is super sturdy, and even though it is a bit heavy, I enjoy knowing that this appliance is built well, with enough heft to keep it standing, even when blending super thick ingredients/recipes. I can't get over the power that this blender has and how smoothly it works! It even comes with a recipe book that has very easy and delicious recipes in it. And when you're all done blending, it's a cinch to clean. This is a little on the loud side, but this is to be expected with the high quality blending it does. I searched & searched for a good blender that wasn't super expensive because I go through them somewhat quickly. I needed one that would blend water & whole, dried chile pods to make my chile sauce. This blender does such a great job that I don't have to strain the chile! My other blender would leave large chunks that had to be strained. I also wanted a blender that would grind the chile pods to add as a seasoning like pepper. This blender did just that where no other ever did. My homemade chorizo was the best ever! I had this blender for 1 year. It spent most of its time sitting on the counter and I used it maybe once a month. I loved it. It was powerful and blended a lot very quickly and did a great job of making a super smooth smoothie. However, I'm giving it 1 star because of longevity. I had this for one year when the teeth on the gear that turns the blender stripped out and stopped working. I ALWAYS kept my hand on the top to push the blender down. The way this is designed, and with its power, I don't see how you could operate it without holding it down. But, I'm making a smoothie when I hear this wretched sound. I shut it off immediately, lifted the cup and found metal shards and a stripped out gear. I wondered about those tiny teeth on the gears when it first arrived. Apparently, that was the exact point of weakness on this blender. Such a shame, because I really liked it. ... show more

I say mighty blender because it works so great for me. It blends my food fruits without using it for long. It works so fast and great! So much better than my former blender I had to throw it away because it could not blend smoothly.

Bought this to replace a Commercial Vitamix the still works but the metal pitcher broke and could not find a replacement. I use the blender for bulletproof coffee and coconut milk and it works great. Clean up is easy as it has a clean button. I have made a smoothie but since I do not use ice I do not know how well that goes, though there is a crushed ice button.
