My hands were never strong, but now that I am elderly they are even weaker. The multi-function of this product is what attracted me. I used to have a couple of "cap snafflers" but over time they both disappeared. All of the parts seem to work just fine. I still have a little strength left in my hands but a lot of the time I dont have enough and that is where the lid openers work just fine. However I just realized that I'm missing one of these tools .... pictured but not in the box I have to investigate. Oh you can either order a 3 piece set or the 4 piece set I apparently ordered the 3 piece Oh well Its not like I have to use these every few seconds of the day. I'll survive :) I like the one assistive devise that helps open the pop top cans. I play bass and I keep ripping the skin under my finger nail when trying to pry up the tab for the pop tops. Even though the one devise I didnt order would have been perfect for this, the other one works fairly well in it's place. Next time Ill order all 4 since I would have been using that extra one more frequently. ... show more

I agree with what others stated about this opener. It is kind of weird you make the grip spread wider and wider as the jar lid gets bigger and bigger on "some jars." So, for our normal jar of peppers...to open it you kind of have to have an expanded grip. The first circle is too big, so you have to use the second circle. It basically works, and works pretty well. But, I'd agree it needs refinement on the part of the maker of the product. The grippy rubber around that holds the lid isn't that grippy, slightly slick actually. Doesn't seem thoroughly tested.
