  • Used to attach pressure treated 2X8 lumber to pressure treated 6X6 posts
Size: #14 X 6" 50 COUNT
The screws work very well and go in fast, even when used with fairy wet pressure treated lumber. I didn't have any bend or break. The tips are sharp and really dig in, so you won't have to apply a lot of force to get them started. Also used the screws to attach 2" thick insulated metal panels to lumber. these are good quality fasteners. ... show more

  • Great lag screw for beams, vigas.

  • Some came bent
Size: #14 X 7" 50 COUNT
These are exactly what I wanted but some came bent. Warped or bowed may be a better word. I didn’t need all 50 so I had plenty of straight ones, but was surprised to find some bowed enough that I didn’t use them.

  • Super Strong. Most bang for your buck
Size: #14 X 8" - 250 Count
I am a real reviewer (Amazon customer since 1997) and the pictures from real project using this fastener. Below is my review using the Pros and Cons format. BLUF: I recommend this screw. They are strong and affordable. -Pro: 1. Most bang for the bucks. You can get similar fasteners from Lowes/HD for about $40 for a box of 5lbs (about 50 screws). These screws are being sold for about $0.6x as opposed to the $0.80-$1.00 at the big box stores. 2. No pre-drilling needed. I was skeptical at first because I need to screw two 6x6 together. These screw did the job and I did not have any failures. 3. Painted/Coating. I used these screws on treated 6x6 and the paint/coating will prevent the screws from rusting. 4. They are strong. They feel hefty. No cheap feeling to them. 5. Comes with an impacted rated bit. Cons. 1. Some of the paint/coating can chipped off due to storage and shipping. 2. The screw threads are only on the first 2-3 inch on the tip. The threads are not for the entire 8 inch length. ... show more

  • Excellent !!
Size: #14 X 6" 50 COUNT
Worked great and a great price! I use timber locks all the time on projects. This is the first time I purchased timber locks via Amazon. Way better and cheaper than the big box stores. Five stars.

  • Worth every penny!
Size: #14 X 6" 50 COUNT
I've been using these screws to install 4x6 landscaping posts instead of having to drill for rebar, as I have in the past. These screws drive efficiently with my cordless drill and actually pull the timbers tightly together, and by recessing the hole slightly, I can tie three posts together.
