I searched for a long while to find my next set of wrenches. Usually I go with Proto’s, but thought I’d try a new brand since they are all made in China or Taiwan anyways. I was tired of buying a brand’s name. Kind of like Frosted Flakes and the generic brand…the only difference is the price due to the name. All that being said, I bought a set of these in standard and metric. To start, the carrying cases that come with them are really nice. Great for storage and keeping them organized. The ratchet part of the wrench is clean and perfect for limited space. They have a good weight to them as well and feel very solid. Well made. Now for a few less than perfect parts. Many of the reviews are correct, they come with a protective layer of oil on them. Like they were packaged right off the assembly line. Not a big deal. Nothing a rag can’t fix. Many of them have surface scuffs on them as well. Not an issue since they are gonna used for work and not put up for display. Just wish I was the one that could have done the scuffing. lol! Like a few others stated, I did have a few that were scratched pretty bad with a rust in them. Those were the only ones that I was worried about. Just as I was about to reach out to the seller, they beat me to it with an email explaining the warranty on the items and their guarantee. That said a lot about their customer service, so I replied to them and explained the situation I received. After sending them a few pictures, they took care of me immediately. They responded quickly and were very professional. The replacements came fast and were perfect! I will definitely be recommending this company to others. ... show more

I bought this to keep in my truck. I have a bike rack, and I need to tighten and change the bike rack configuration for different bikes. Most of the parts need a 1/2 inch wrench. This fits my needs perfectly as it is compact and ratcheting at the box end. It does not have a switch for direction, you simply flip it over for tightening or loosening. This is a nice low cost alternative to expensive wrenches. It looks, feels and works great. The seller has a nice warranty and has personally reached out with a list of his warranty and customer support. I applaud Jaeger for that. Seldom do you get so well informed of the warranty/return policy from a seller. This is a great value for the price. The tool fills my needs, and this wrench will get lots of use. Purchased these due to the lifetime warranty, that said the lifetime warranty only seems to be good for 1 single replacement per part, after that they can issue a refund for that single wrenches value. I ordered my set, I like to inspect tools I purchase, also like to remove any old oils/wax's applied to them from the factory to prevent corrosion/rust. I wipe them down with a microfiber cloth, than apply my own oil to them, before I wipe them down once more to remove any excess oil for storage. I noticed the 16mm had the chrome plating/finish had failed from the factory and was peeling (see photo). Spoke to the seller/manufacturer and they agreed to provide me a free replacement for the 16mm which didn't count towards my 1 replacement warranty per wrench. They where polite, and sent the replacement wrench, I received it roughly 2 weeks later (give or take 1-2 days) and it was in perfect condition. Not a huge fan of the plastic holder it comes with, works but I would have preferred something a little more protective, I keep my tools in the trunk of my car (built in tool box) and this would have prevented any scratching. I've used the tools once so far to replace rear brakes on a vehicle, they gave my no issue, worked as well as I could expect. My one concern with the product is the chrome/protective coating, I have some experience with tools, and this plating on the original 16mm wrench appears to be the same type of plating which is used on very cheap $1-$2 screw drivers which always fails and peels off. It looks, and felt the same as that type, so I have some concern to how the plating will hold up long term. As someone who cleaners their tools after each use I try to take very good care of my belongings, and while not expensive (relatively) to other ratchet wrenches the plating/finish appears to be low quality. Granted it could hold up for a decade without issue, I simply do not know until time passes how well it does hold up, but the 16mm appeared to have that very cheap plating, which may mean they could rust pretty easily in the future. All in all however I'm pleased with the purchase, I really have no serious complaints, more so a concern I felt I should share. ... show more
