Upon curing, which occurs when the product is exposed to the moisture in air, the silicone forms a tough, waterproof seal on most surfaces. It will not shrink or crack, resists weathering, is sensor safe and is great for many automotive applications.

I used this on this for a valve cover gasket and it worked alright. The tube basically blew out the back end when squeezing so be careful. But other than that it was fast easy and dried quick, which is what I needed. It’s as easy to remove as most siliocine caulkin. And it stuck pretty good. You get a decent amount per tube. More than you could ever need for 1-3 jobs. And the color was what I needed, but if you’re using this like you should, the color should matter as it’ll be hidden for the most part. Over all, it’s good but I which the actual tube it’s held in was More durable, no reason it should bust open just from squeezing it. But the size is good, you get a lot of it. ... show more

    • Great RTV for use when oil exposed

I had to change the valve cover in my ALH diesel motor. The replacement requires a high quality RTV in four specific locations. I’ve always been a fan of JB Weld products so I gave this a shot. It hasn’t let me dow. I got 2500 miles now on the new valve cover and nary a drop of oil is leaking.

Used this to fill in holes on my homemade solar charged 12v battery pack. Squeezes out of the tube easily and seals very well but is nice and thick. Color is clear and clean. There's not an extremely overpowering scent. Seems like it will work well and last a long time.
