Mounted on the wall next to the door there’s a 2 inch pipe with a clamp fitting that has a protruding piece with a rough edge. This was scratching the trim when the door was opened. I took the JBweld silicone sealant and built a bumper over the rough metal. Took 3 coats to get what I wanted, but it works perfectly. Overall, this product works well and is safe for aquarium use, which is great peace of mind for fishkeepers. The Pros: It's definitely aquarium-safe, and the set time is accurate as advertised. The Cons: Be aware—it has a strong chemical smell. While it's expected for silicone, it's quite intense. The Caution: The silicone is sticky, which is normal, but the real issue is the packaging. The tube is made of metal, and if you squeeze or roll it a bit too hard, it can split open, leading to silicone spilling onto your hands. I’d recommend wearing gloves to avoid a mess. In terms of functionality, I would recommend this product for aquarium applications.     • It does work well under water and even during spinning cycles in washing machines.

I used this product to glu the center of an agitator in my washing machine. The machine would not program properly to complete any cycles without the part being stable.
