We recently purchased a new car. It is parked in the garage every night. The other day I noticed that a plastic trim panel on the passenger door had some scratches on it. Time to investigate! Mounted on the wall next to the door there’s a 2 inch pipe with a clamp fitting that has a protruding piece with a rough edge. This was scratching the trim when the door was opened. I took the JBweld silicone sealant and built a bumper over the rough metal. Took 3 coats to get what I wanted, but it works perfectly.     • The good, the bad and the sticky

Overall the product is great. The Good: It IS SAFE for aquarium usage for those wondering, and set timing is fairly accurate The Bad: This product SMELLS, it has a very very strong chemical smell ( Yes I know it is silicone and doesn't smell like roses) The Sticky: The Silicone is very sticky too be expected but the real sticky part is the fact that the tube that the silicone comes in is a metal material and as soon as you roll it or squeeze too hard the tube splits and silicone will go all over your hands, so I would wear gloves. So I will recommend this product as far as aquarium usage goes, the material of the tube is really what took the star away simply for the fact that I lost a decent amount of the product on my hands and gloves. ... show more

This product worked adequately for my small sealant job. But when I got it out later for another job it had hardened into a solid useless block that had to be tossed. Admittedly, this was three years later but the tube was well capped and kept in the bathroom cabinet. Disappointing.
