1st of all, quality and construction on this backpack are top notch. It's very well made. However, I returned the backpack shortly after unboxing it because it is a very big backpack. Too big. And when you install and use the helmet carrying pocket, the backpack sticks out even more so maneuverability around people and spaces becomes a hassle. If the backpack had wheels for this size, it would be better. I'll stick to my pack outs or now. ... show more

Im 5'10" 160lbs and this backpack is heavy empty and way to big for my build. It looks nice but ill be returning it and looking for a smaller bag. I have photos that dont have the hood attachment on it but its just as big as the pack. Wish i could use it for all the jobs i do but it takes up too much room ... show more

    • Plastic buckles for a $200 bag?
I love everything about this bag except for the fact that one arguably one of the most used parts of the iron worker model (the welding hood pouch) you put plastic buckles on the bottom that are affixed in a way that it’s impossible to replace them your self when they break. Something gets caught on them when ur climbing in and out of the truck they break. Someone puts their bag on top of ur bag they break. I ended up installing grommets on the pouch and straps and using 1/8 inch shackles with lock tight to fix the problem. But come on I love this bag big time but u guys it’s a $200 bag and that hood pouch is arguably one of the main reasons I bought the bag since I have to carry so much stuff from my truck to the work truck and from the work truck up countless flights of stairs. Again I love the bag but please do something about that on the next iteration of the bag. ... show more

This backpack is supposed to be made for ironworkers. As an ironworker I do not recommend this backpack because the welding hood pouch in the back has an open top, which leaves your welding hood exposed to the elements...rain, snow, etc. I would much rather weld with my lenses reasonably dry than covered in water. It's well built, but it's worthless to me if it doesn't protect my welding hood lenses from water getting smeared all over them. I am returning this and getting a cheaper one that protects my hood better. ... show more

    • Worst Welding Bag Ever!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME WITH THIS ITEM! True, it is heavy duty, but the bag itself is about 20 pounds. It does not protect your welding hood from the elements, the inside is very narrow, and won’t stretch out because the bag is very sturdy in and outside. I wouldn’t recommend this item. It will be about 45 pounds after you put some tools inside it. And the bag itself takes too much space. Not for a bus/subway commute though. ... show more
