I love the design of the vehicles, the dump truck actually has a form of suspension so if it’s going along a rough surface stuff doesn’t fall out to much with its pistons being accurate and actually holding it’s contents up when you go to tip them out, the bulldozer/loader? Is pretty accurate in comparison to a real life version, it’s got a full range of motion, it’s tough, it’s bucket is tough enough to actually dig in mud/loose dirt and it rotates so it can hold the dirt and move it somewhere else, like into the dump truck, the excavator has some flaws, it can struggle to hold dirt in but it can hold a bit, it’s tracks fall off a lot (but can be put back on), but other then that it’s great, it’s tough, it’s got all the appropriate pistons and can dig in mud/loose dirt and has a full range of motion, it looks really nice also. Overall I’d say these are worth it for any kid who likes construction vehicles, and by what I can tell these are based from actual vehicles if that’s a concern. These are definitely the most durable ones we have ever owned and i have 3 boys and 4 girls so we have had a lot of toys over the years! The tracks coming off are annoying but they are still useable without them if they get lost. ... show more

I had hoped these would be of a scale that they could work with our toddler's small Tonka truck. They weren't, but he really liked them, so we kept them anyway. They are very detailed and seem sturdy. We use them to play in the sand or, when the weather is bad, in a pan of dried beans. The excavator scoop is really too small to use for scooping into the dump truck in the set, which was our only real disappointment. But I guess he's just getting to practice playing pretend. The dump truck hydraulics are/were a little stiff, which was initially a challenge for his hands, but he's learned to use both hands to lift the bed of the truck while holding the cab. He was younger than the advised age range when we let him start playing with these--closer to 18 months. These were a big hit with grandpa, too! ... show more

He loves them so much he takes them everywhere. All metal. He lost the excavator and we bought him another set because they’re great and he is obsessed. Highly recommend and wish they made more types. Love to see rescue vehicles or something

I must admit I thought these would be bigger. After playing with the backhoe for less than ten minutes, the tread on one side had already come off the tracks. Now, it just keeps coming off over and over. We will probably end up taking it off and leaving it off because it’s pointless to keep putting it back on. I’m also not sure how long the dump truck is going to hold up. The pivot point between the cab and bucket does not seem very robust but only time will tell. For almost $30 I wouldn’t buy these a second time. There is a little man inside the loader which is pretty cool Update: my son had now had these for a few months and I must drastically change my review rating. He absolutely loves playing with them and he is rough on toys but they have held up wonderfully. Although $30 does seem a bit expensive, I now truly think they were worth it! ... show more
