I have the IOTA Detector for three weeks where I field tested the instrument five times in a former gold producing mountainous area. Unfortunately the instrument was not able to produce consistent results (>100% variation from day to day) when taken back over the same area on subsequent days. The instrument was not able to reliably detect precious metals depths with variations reported varying from 0.5 to10 meters to unable to follow target depth at all. The headphones stopped working the second day in the field. The battery will now charge to only 93%. Ajax Detector will not respond to any support questions so they either do not know how to support the detector or cannot. The detector may find coins on a beach but is not good for gold deposits underground. ... show more
