The media could not be loaded. What I liked about this product that it does have Bluetooth for color changing and so forth, but does not connect to Spotify. It was a bit hard trying to get the lights into my dodge charger because theirs some spots where it’s super tight. Also have to watch out with the yellow tool that comes with it, the more you bend it, it will soon break. This updated review provides additional insights into material and tool concerns: Brightness and Flexibility: While the individual 12V light sources maintain their brightness at night, the ongoing issues with the optic fiber cable, including visible cracks and scratches, persist. Upgrading to a higher quality 3mm side glow optic fiber remains essential. Installation Challenges and Color Discrepancy: Installation complexities were further exacerbated by a color discrepancy issue with one set of lights on my 2014 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. The two separate clear plastic pieces—outer layer and inner core—continue to pose challenges, especially with the lack of stiffness in the provided plastic spatula. Material Quality Concerns Persist: A significant addition to the material concerns is the flimsy and useless nature of the pry tool used to squeeze the transparent tube into gaps. This tool proved inadequate, chipping, breaking, and getting damaged during the installation process. A stronger material for this tool is imperative to enhance the overall durability and effectiveness during installation. Dust Attraction and Material Appearance: The electrostatic nature of the fiber optic insert continues to attract dust, requiring meticulous cleaning before insertion to prevent contamination of the sleeve. Additionally, the quality issues with the visible sleeve material persist, with kinking, white marks, and a lack of a smooth appearance once installed. Brightness During the Day: Daytime visibility concerns remain unaddressed, as these lights continue to be invisible during daylight hours. as a noob to this whole ambient lighting thing, im sure i messed up a few steps i need some retries maybe, my wiring looks horrendous but despite all that, this lighting kit is delicious. it made my car look great. well as great as a corolla could look but not blaming that on the 6 strips of light up plastic. the app does need a little bit of time to find the lights but once it does, it has a party mode and everything. great lights, sometimes with mixed colors like a little bit of green and a little bit of blue, you do get that weird effect of some of the line being slightly green and some of it being blue, non issue ... show more

    • Better than I expected
I recently purchased a new 2021 Toyota RAV4 and I wanted to customize it a little bit. I wanted to add in some ambient lighting, but I didn’t want the standard foot well lighting kit that most people get. I wanted something a bit more customizable with a little more of a luxury feel. Through some research I stumbled upon someone doing a review of this product and I thought well it’s cheap enough to give it a shot. The packaging is simple and straight to the point although the instructions slip is in a different language. You basically just insert this thin plastic strip into a plastic tube and that’s it really. You need to make sure that there’s excess wire hanging out of the tube or else the little light clamp won’t be able to attach. Depending on what kind of car you have and how many panel gaps you have it really is easy to install and it helps that they provide a panel gap spreader tool. As long as you don’t have any exposed wires hanging out that you might trip on, the tubing should stick for quite some time. The app is pretty convenient too. Lots of different setting and you can adjust the brightness and speed (to change how fast it switches from one color to another if you want more of a fade effect or a quick jumping type) of all the colors. You can sync it to music, but it’s only music played through their app which is unfortunate. The only downsides I can see are that the tubing does stand out just a little bit during the day. As opposed to something like EL wire that just looks like an accent strip during the day these lights do look a little odd during the day. If you’re familiar with wiring I highly recommend shorting the wires a bit, there’s five connections to the main cigarette plug and the wires are fairly long. For good reason as it gives you plenty of room to work with if you plan on placing these far from the plug but once you narrow down where you want them that excess wiring can get kind of annoying. Also, as for the Four stars, each of the five connections comes with a small semi circle clear piece of (I’m not sure if it’s plastic or glass) plastic that I’m sure spreads out the light more efficiently. Well mine was missing one of those upon arrival, so now the light doesn’t show through that piece as vividly. As well as the piece that connects to the plug looks like it’s been scratched up a bit almost as if it’s a reused piece. Overall, a lot better than expected and I get great reactions out of it all the time by people that get in the car. It’s fairly priced and as long as your car has the gaps this is hands down better than some lights that sit at your feet. ... show more
