Highly recommend this kit! Its the easiest Arcade1Up mod you can do and it works excellently! Sega Genesis was my favorite console after Atari and being able to plug and play old favorite cartridges again has been a blast. This unit IS compatible with the multi game carts offered on eBay and Etsy so you rebuild your library quickly if you like and put less wear and tear on the cartridge port is very tight. It seems to be built on hardware emulation not software and so far all games have performed and sound great. I did have some screen flicker at first but that was because I failed to reattach the ground wire at the monitor. Be careful do perform all steps. The setup manual is adequate but read thoroughly before starting. The sticks and buttons are very “clicky” so I’ll upgrade those eventually but that’s typical of all of these economical deck builds including the original A1U controls. Controls themselves are better than the original A1U components which were very cheap especially on the first gen cabinets. I would highly recommend this kit and I’m looking at getting the other and connecting an Atari or PlayStation to it. ... show more

    • in case your wondering game genie dont work
couldnt get game genie to work on any games you can enter the codes but they have no effect, also this has no state save and multi carts with state save functionality it will be disabled. an upgrade to accommodate state save would be welcome

I love this thing!! I had a dead arcade1up (died JUST after the 90 day warranty) and arcade1up has TERRIBLE customer service.... anyway, as someone else has done, I was looking for a way to repair or use it somehow... then I saw The Immortal John Hancock's video on this thing..... I have an everdrive and a full set of roms.... this old 1up has become WAAAY more fun and useful... it's the 1up I wanted from the start!! ... show more

    • Got one with a faulty pcb board
Really like the product was easy to install and worked great for about an hour. Then the screen went black and all I was getting was sound. The pcb board that comes with this item went bad in less than an hour. I'm returning the faulty item and hopefully the next one I get last more than an hour.

First one they sent me didn't work. I got a replacement bout 3 days later. Then the screen wasn't centered. After figuring out that you had to switch the toggle on the pcb board to B it works fine now. Brought my arcade back to life. Great product

At first, I thought it was faulty however, after double checking all steps and finding that the HDMI cord that plugs into the deck was bad. I swapped it out for a new HDMI cord, and everything is working as it should. it even plays my 500 in 1 cart. If you're getting sound but no video, check your HDMI cords!!! I jumped the gun at first but when you work it through everything works out. ... show more

This product didn’t work brand new out of the box, customer support is in Canada and nobody answers the phone number given tried emailing no luck don’t waste your money stuck with a product that doesn’t work and out of almost 100 dollars

The first one I received didn’t work and customer service helped to troubleshoot it until 9pm with me. I sent it back and received a new working system 2 days later. It’s a favorite in the household. I turned my old centipede arcade into a sega arcade and couldn’t be happier! Installation was easy.
