I was a little skeptical about getting this. My main concern was that it would not be exactly like the original galaga arcade game and that there would be some subtle differences in the way it plays. It works exactly like the original though. The size is just a little smaller than the arcade version but it doesn't affect the play. I can't tell any difference in the screen size though, the screen seems just as large as the original. Assembly took about 2 hours but was not difficult at all. The game is great! A wonderful family-time fun experience. It took my oldest son and I a couple of hours to assemble. It is heavy, so if assembling upstairs, get a strong person to carry it up or take it up in sections. Also, one of the components was mislabeled and cost about 10 minutes of sorting out the components to determine the correct piece. Assembly instructions were OK, but the company needs to hire an English-speaking person to proofread the assembly instructions. Minor, but irritating. ... show more

Packaged very well, which makes it take about as much time unpackaging, as it does to assemble it. Instructions were clear, and easy to read. At first, everything seemed to be working perfectly, until i had to use the pop up keyboard to type in my wifi password. The keyboard never popped up no matter what I tried. Luckily, Arcade 1up's customer service was a huge help, and sent me a new Main PCBA at no cost. New unit worked flawlessly and everything is working as it should. I only wish it was 2 player. 2 guns and only 1 player for (only) Time Crisis is kind of a let down. ... show more

This is one of the pricier cabinets available (that doesn't use original hardware) but it looks so good. A great selection of games, too! The guns have a really fun and satisfying kick that you can also disable (it does get a little noisy at times). Video and sound quality are both what I'd expect. The biggest issue is that you have to be standing a bit back from the screen for the guns to be particularly accurate, which means you can't have the pedal directly under the cabinet like in the original, but they seem to have anticipated this and set up the pedal to be movable. If you are looking for something along the lines of Time Crisis 3 which is a 2 player game, this is NOT it. I emailed 1up before purchase and asked them if this Time Crisis was two player. They NEVER responded ever. Worst customer service on earth short of maybe Fanatec. I assumed because there were TWO guns it should be a TWO player console for Time Crisis, the title game. Well it most definitely is NOT. The other obscure games it comes with are two player, but NOT the Title game. Total waste of money to a company that does not care about it's customers or producing something logical. If you do not have power tools your arm will die before you ever even get close to assembling this cabinet. No idea why any company would build something that nobody wants. Disappointing in every definition. Spend your money elsewhere. ... show more

This is the second 1up arcade cabinet I have ordered. The 1st one was canceled by Amazon. The second I received very quickly. After I got it I put it to gather only to have it be dead. The light powered on but now screen. Had to send it back. Update: 11/11/24 just as I was getting ready to package this up to send it back. My brother-in-law came over and went over everything that I did. We noticed that the power connector was one pin off. It's the only connector that doesn't have a guide. What a great deal on a great quality arcade game. I have not connected it to the internet, because I like having all the high scores. The controller reacts well with no lag. I feel like I'm back in college at a bar playing Galaga, only without the quarters. The only tiny negative was a typo in the instructions. It had once piece used twice because the piece they called for was miss named. It was pretty obvious, so it didn't slow my assembly more than a minute. ... show more
