This machine is perfect. Assembly takes some time so just go slow and be patient. Galaga is as close as you can get to a real arcade machine. Biggest thing for me is settings are adjustable and it has 'fast fire' so each time you hit the button it fires. It doesn't come that way but settings buttons are on the far right. Packaged very well, which makes it take about as much time unpackaging, as it does to assemble it. Instructions were clear, and easy to read. At first, everything seemed to be working perfectly, until i had to use the pop up keyboard to type in my wifi password. The keyboard never popped up no matter what I tried. Luckily, Arcade 1up's customer service was a huge help, and sent me a new Main PCBA at no cost. New unit worked flawlessly and everything is working as it should. I only wish it was 2 player. 2 guns and only 1 player for (only) Time Crisis is kind of a let down. ... show more

    • parts mislabeled and holes on wrong side of piece

I got it put together but it was a problem several parts were mislabeled 3 of my parts were labeled d1 and there was only supposed to be one. The top parts on the machine would only fit one way so holes must of been misdrilled because the light that is supposed to light up the galaga sign top of machine the bulbs face the back so no light there. That was the only way it would fit. The machine does operate and plays well but overall for the price was disappointed. ... show more

    • A great 3/4 scale rendition of an iconic classic!

This finally, a really great 3/4 scale version of it's full sized, coin operated Galaga arcade machine. Assembly was mostly easy, though there were moments when I did have a bit of difficulty with some very tiny screws which are used to secure the monitor/control deck piece. I'd recommend having a friend assist with moving the cabinet into position, or use an heavy duty cart to move it. The cabinet is a fair bit heavier than the first generation of A1up cabinets. Once completed, I was greeted with a beautiful cabinet, complete with lighted (fake) coin acceptors, lighted marquee, and that iconic Namco cabinet many of us came to know in person, back in the early 80s. My only gripe is, the audio is way, way, way too loud. I immediately had to turn the volume all the way down to 1, and it's still a lot too loud. Neighbors complained when I played it too late at night. LOL Guess I'll have to order another volume attenuator to deal with that. LOL I like that the cabinet features wi-fi, and leaderboards.
