  • Mini claw machine hype!
The media could not be loaded. This mini claw machine is such a score! I knew the kids I work with would absolutely love it. I’m a school counselor so the kids love to work to earn the coins to play. It’s fairly easy to earn a prize unlike most claw machines. I give the kids one practice coin and a second one if they don’t get a toy the first try. They have 60 seconds to try as many times as they can to grab a toy with the claw. You can put so many different things inside. The sound was pretty loud (circus like music) and there isn’t volume control so I ended up clipping the audio wires because the vibe in my office is pretty relaxing. But if you are using it for a party setting, then it would probably work. Definitely recommend this as a way to reward kids for their hard work and efforts or for party ideas. ... show more

  • Wow. This is VERY cool, but undoubtedly the most annoying toy EVER!
My grandson has been asking for one of these and Mimi never disappoints him on his birthday or Christmas. I was super excited when it arrived and I filled it up with toys, candy, and tiny stuffed animals. After I put the batteries in after filling it for the first time, it was to test it out. Don't by much to put in it because it will NOT hold very much at all and to get the toys and candy out are a nightmare! It took me an hour to get just enough stuff in it while not being too much or it wouldn't work at all. Trying to get the stuff out is like trying to squeeze a large Saint Bernard through the car door. As you can imagine that doesn't work well. This is UNDOUBTEDLY the world's most annoying toy EVER created! There is no volume control! I am over half deaf and it was blaring loud to me without hearing aids! The circus song doodootoododododo sound will forever be stuck in my head. If you want to be a child's hero, get this for them! Disclaimer, make sure your kids are grown and gone first or payback will be coming. I would rather have five drum sets and ten violins as to one of these suckers. Also, for set up you might want to stop at the store for a bottle of extra strength Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and the biggest bottle of wine you can find. Don't be picky on the brand, red, or white. Just get the biggest bottle of wine there is! Trust me you will need it. I'd highly recommend pretreating first, before the setup process starts. Tylenol, ibuprofen, noise canceling headphones, two glasses of wine, then start puting it together. The claw is weak, but other than the above listed it's a great gift for someone ELSES kid. Do not.... I repeat do not buy this for your own child! Unless you are a masochist and then do you. No judgement here. But IF you are a normal person, only purchase for other people's children after yours are grown and out of your house! OR you'll be singing this for a week Dododoottootdodotototodododo Purchase at your own risk. ... show more

  • Great mini claw machine for the kids!
Update: Unfortunately, I have to drop the rating to 1 star. I've had The Claw for about 10 days, and the back/forth lever stopped working. The left/right lever, when it's used, the motor sounds like it's under heavy strain when the claw moves then left or right. I had to request an exchange, and as they aren't apparently offered, was simply given a refund. Very depressing that it can't even last two weeks without failing -- Original: This is a great mini claw machine. Here are my thoughts on using it: * It plays fun “carnival” style music after you insert a coin. I didn’t think the music was “too loud” as a lot of reviews state. It may be a tad louder than you might want, but I think that just adds to the fun experience. There is no volume adjustment/mute, contrary to the Amazon listing saying it does, however. * The drop box lights up red after you insert a coin. * On the last ten seconds, the carnival music speeds up to let you know time’s almost up. * If you fail to drop an item in the drop box, it plays a “wah wah waaaah” fail tune, ha ha. * If you succeed in dropping an item into the drop box, it plays a “happy” tune. Usually anyway, once an item bounced out of the drop box after we dropped it, but it kept playing the normal carnival music like it didn’t detect the drop. * It seems pretty easy to use, at least for older kids and adults. My 9 year old daughter was able to grab a “fun sized candy bar” immediately without any problems and drop it into the drop box twice in a row. One trick of using it is that the claw tends to rotate in a circle a bit, so you usually have to fiddle with raising and lowering the claw some to get it to swing around to where the claw can align on an item to pick up. Even still, it’s easy enough to use. * One minor complaint on the claw: The tiny chain that the claw dangles from (which I might add, looks like a thin necklace chain), I worry that it’ll get tangled or stuck in the machinery, but so far it hasn’t. * It’s a bit expensive for what it is, but if you have kids that want to enjoy a claw machine without being ripped off by the big ones at your local arcade, this is a great choice for a home mini version. Well worth it then for the investment to see their smiles when they are able to grab an item with the claw successfully! ... show more

  • Middle Handle
It worked great the 1st hour or 2. Then the middle handle stopped working. It makes a sound like it's suck. I tried moving it to see if it would unstick but no luck. I want to return it but my 4 yr old is autistic & can't part with it. I wouldn't buy it again.
