I used this while Smoking Pork shoulders to keep an eye on the meat temperature. Not only did it monitor the meat but also helped with keeping me apprised of the temperature of the smoker as well. Easy to navigate app to help select the type of meat the probe is being used on and gives you the time it should reach the temp desired with the temperature of where the meat is being made. This is a great product and the set-up was easy. We will be able to use this wireless thermometer often, especially when grilling. We look forward to using it often. We especially like that we are able to use it with our phone. This is a must-buy if you are in the market for a wireless thermometer.

The probe constantly loses connection even when right next to the base. Have to reset it regularly. Disappointing.

This is an absolute piece of junk. My wife bought me one with two probes. It will always come up, connect, and let you set your the temperature you want to cook. However, usually around the half temperature mark it will go offline 100% of the time, both probes, every time! I’ve probably used it 20 times over the past few months, and it never fails to fail. It happened again tonight, so I just threw it in to garage where it belongs. I hardly ever write reviews but I just had to warn people about this product. And I didn’t even get into the probes being so fat that they are really hard to use. I’ll save that for next week. ... show more
