This is my favorite blanket right now. It's super soft and lightweight. It feels cool to the touch all the time. When the weather is warm, I like to sleep on top of the quilt on my bed, but I still like to have a light blanket on top of me. (Maybe it's a security thing, I should ask my therapist about that!) This blanket is perfect for that. It lets me be covered up but it doesn't make me hot. Since I sleep with the windows open, it's usually hot in my room when I go to bed but cool when I wake up, and even though this is a cooling blanket, I'm not chilly in those cool morning hours either. I get hot at night so I thought I would try this. I read the reviews and they are right! This blanket is soft and lightweight. It will absorb your body heat. When the temperature rises in the summer and the heat is unbearable it will leave you cool and comfortable. I love everything about this blanket and can't believe I lived this long without one. I adore this style of cooling blanket. This is the 4th one that I have bought and this is the closest I have come to disappointment. At 5’10”, the queen size isn’t quite large enough to fully curl into and the fact that the blanket has a cooling side and a warmer side is oddly the part I dislike the most, to me, the warmer side takes away from the whole experience of a cooling blanket, trapping to much of the bodies heat to keep you cool but from what my 19 year old son has said, he feels the thicker side is perfect, keeping him from feeling chilled. To each their own and to me, this says this blanket has a place for some people. What I do have to say is if you are looking into cooling blankets the first time, get one, it will change your life. Just remember to follow the washing instructions as letting the blanket get to hot, with either water or dryer can destroy the cooling effect. ... show more

I got one for my boyfriend and one for myself since we tend to wake up hot during the night. It feels similar to satin pjs or sheets. Anyone that tends to wake up roasting in the middle of the night, is a caregiver of children, is prone to fevers or heat exhaustion, lives in a hot climate, or can't sleep without being covered needs to get one. I am not crazy about the design. However, I purchase bc of the sale. I would recommend the product. Got as a gift for a friend whose child has seizure when spikes a fever. This blanket helped cool off the child. One side is cooling the other one is to help keep your body heat. Do not dry. Hang up. When wet, the fabric becomes heavy. She run the spin cycle twice. If fever is really high, you can dampen the blanket a bit and that helped break the child's fever. ... show more

I got this blanket for a few reasons: living in Southeast Texas, where it can get 4 seasons within a day, super hot humid summers, and a child who has a high core temperature at any given day during sleep. So first to notice, it's a very soft, thin 2-ply blanket. The seams are well done, and washed wonderfully and stayed in shape after the initial first wash. I chosen the suggested line dry, and it turned out nice in shape. But i think if you put it in dryer on low heat it'll work fine too. Kiddo slept with it for about a week now, and loves the feel of it. Says it keeps them comfortable during cooler night time temps, and in the few days we already had temps in the 80s said they slept very good with it without feeling hot. Very cute blanket and I used this majority of the summer. Even when it's on the warme side I do not like to sleep with nothing covering me. Sometimes a sheet can be too thin so this is perfect for a little extra covering. once the blanket got warm from body heat i would just kind of wave it in the air or in front of the AC and it felt so nice when you lay it over you!
