I had to watch a couple of YouTube videos to get the set up done. Works well. Glad it came with 2 size guns. It was cheap so I didn’t expect too much. So far not great but good.

The good: it has a lot of accessories and you have two sizes. The bad: 1. Poor material choice, in the item description it says aluminum, however after using the gun once on wood drawers that I built, I came the next day and sure enough there was rust in the internal parts as you can see in the pictures ( gun and cup). 2. The case doesn't hold everything snuggly, when I opened it the first time most items were loose. 3. (A) The control knobs don't make a noticeable change in flow and pattern. I kept trying to loosen it and tighten them but no changes whatsoever. (B) The finish was rough although my wood pieces were sanded from 120 to 400 grit, and cleaned with mineral spirits. I got smoother finish using a brush than using this gun, I was very surprised. 4. Very poor use instructions, and nothing mentioned about cleaning and care. 5. The multi wrench tools are not sized properly for the hex parts of the gun, and the depth is too shallow to make a good grip of the part that you need to loosen up for cleaning. I was hoping this gun would be suitable for intermittent usage and last at least a year, given that the price is low. But if rust develops internally after the first usage, I would just assume it's intended to be for a very short time usage as you can't remedy the rust which can affect the quality of your paint finish. ... show more

    • Worked great for my solvent based alkyd paint job.

Considering the price and that includes a touch up gun too, this is a real bargain. The larger gun worked great for applying alkyd primer and finish coat on some structural steel for a deck cover. I would say it's about 10 times faster than a brush and it left a great finish with the slower drying top coat I was using. I had to replace an o-ring or two that was squashed and torn from the factory. As others have mentioned, some pipe tape was needed on the paint cup threads to prevent leaking. I think I used about 10 wraps of Teflon pipe tape to make sure it sealed well. I ran my regulator at the air compressor around 75 PSI and while pressing air only on the paint gun I ran about 23 psi on the guns regulator. ... show more

I used a remote air regulator and added a inline small air filter before the gun I was spraying enamel on automotive Surface after a little adjustments the larger of the two guns worked almost as good as my old siphon feed Binks spray gun. This first time used a gravity gun with the disposable plastic cup are nice for cleaning better then the old system. I see there are much more costly guns but wonder if would get bang for the money ... show more
