This is a utilitarian little heater. Have been thinking of getting one for the in between season days and weeks when my condo building's heat is not on - it only kicks in when the temps outside is below 50F - but inside gets just a bit too cold for comfort. Since most of the year the heater will be in storage the smaller it is the better. This one is small and light weight but even on the lower setting - firing up one of the two heat rods - provides enough heat especially if you use it with a small fan to spread the hot air better. The only flaw is that the tip-over guard underneath - basically a push on/off button which releases when not pressed down by the weight of the heater - is not well designed causing the heater to wobble - although it's more just an annoyance, not enough to actually cause it to tip over or fall down (would be ironic if it did!) as the base is quite solid. So overall it's good enough to serve the purpose of bridging those transitional colder days but the unstable design puts it in the category of a functional but not particularly well made piece of household appliance. ... show more

    • Nice heater but...
These days there aren't too many portable electric heaters that aren't 1500 watt, which is often too high an amp draw from a lot of home plugs, they can cause excessive heat in the receptacles and wires, lead to shorts and even fires. That's why I jumped on this 600 watt model which I'm happy to have. The problem with this one is the safety tip-over switch protrudes from the bottom a bit too much so the heater actually balances on that switch instead of the 4 plastic legs and makes it seem unstable. I'll probably put a couple small rubber or felt adhesive pads on two of the legs to prevent the wiggle. Other than that it works fine, has a 3 position switch Hi (600 watt), Low (300 watt), and Off. It's silent, no fan noise, it's completely a radiant heat unit without a fan. It's great for use near a chair or under a desk and provides plenty of heat, but would rely on room air circulation to warm a room. *update, on further inspection I noticed the safety tip-over switch had a non-slip rubber self adhesive pad on it which made the switch protrude too far. By removing that pad the heater feels more stable, the switch is still fully pressed in, but it reduced the amount of wiggle to almost none. ... show more

This product does what it says it will. It’s a small space heater with two ceramic rods and two heating modes. It’s a bit smaller than the images show. More like a desktop heater. About the size of an average toaster really. The plastic housing is a little flimsy but overall it seems fine. It does kick off a fair bit of heat! ... show more

BOTTOM LINE: 1. I recommend this NUMIFUN infrared space heater. 2. The current price of ~$37 is reasonable. LIKES: - Radiant heat. - Angled slightly up. - Only 600 watts. - ETL listed with safety features. - Good quality grounded plug. DISLIKES: - Quality is moderate, not high.

    • Nice design with safety shut off!
The media could not be loaded. This is a simple but yet nice design like I said in the video it has that safety feature where if it's tipped over or picked up when it's turned on it'll shut off automatically that's great if you have pets or kids or grandkids around the house. It doesn't heat up quickly but when it does it puts out some really good heat. simple operation when knob you got two settings high and low. I like it I'm going to be using it a lot this winter I'm sure. Nice design, simple to operate, and the safety shut off. I'd recommend it for those three things alone. ... show more

I've been using this heater for a few days now and it's a very nice heater. Plenty of heat, even on the low position. The plastic shell is cool to the touch so it's easy to reposition the heater while it's on. The front grill does get hot (obviously), so be sure to keep it away from any cloth or other material. I keep it on an end table next to the sofa to take the chill off while sitting or watching television. Unlike ceramic heaters, this heater heats using radiation (think of the heating elements inside a toaster oven), so it's operation is completely silent. ... show more

I like items that are simple and straightforward, which this is. It's the perfect little heater to warm up cold feet or to take the chill off when coming in from the cold. It won't heat a room, but it works well for a limited space, such as under a desk. The safety features worked well when I tested them. And it's QUIET, since it's a radiant heater with no fan to make noise. Be careful not to touch the front, because that part gets hot, while the rest of the housing stays cool. Warms up quickly and puts out a good amount of heat for such a small device. I have peace of mind knowing that the heater has a safety mechanism which turns the heater off in the case of accidental tip-over. The low and high power fan setting is useful in keeping my small room set to a comfortable temperature. ... show more
