My dog developed a sore on her lip and kept scratching at it, making it worse. I did have a soft foam version of an e-collar from one of my other dogs, but it was a little big for this dog, and she hated wearing it. It also limited her vision and caused her to run into my other dogs, dog beds, and walls. This donut version seems to be a lot more comfortable for her, and since her little head isn't in the cone, she can see her surroundings. This donut was easy to blow up, and it has a stopper valve that you bite or pinch when you're putting air in there, and it stops the air from coming out when you let go. It really made it easy to get the actual stopper in place without letting the air back out. I haven't had to wash it yet, but the cover seems durable. I like that it's cloth because it will be more comfortable against my dog's skin than the inner plastic or rubber inflatable tube. For reference, I got the "small," and it's perfect for my dog. My dog's neck measures 6.5", and I have a regular collar threaded through the inner loops to ensure she doesn't slip out of it. She's a hairless Chinese Crested, so having something soft against her bare skin is a must, and so far, this super cute inflatable e-collar has exceeded my expectations. ... show more

Our new dog had to be spayed so I thought I'd give this a try, and I'm really glad I did. I measured her neck and followed the sizing guidelines and it fits perfectly. It's a cute donut design. I did have trouble blowing it up at first. There are no instructions (which really aren't necessary) but I ended up having to use a large, blunt needle to carefully poke a hole in the bottom of the nozzle. Once I did that it took about 30 seconds to blow it up. Our dog has had no problem getting used to it. In the past we've used the plastic cones that came from the vet and they were so cumbersome and a real pain in the butt for both the dog and their human. With this she has had no problems navigating or resting with this around her neck. It's so easy to take on and off which is perfect for when she has to go outside. Overall great product. We got this to stop my dog from trying to run out of the yard between the slates in the fence. Stops him every time much to his chagrin :-) The only negative comment is the velcro seems to be wearing out pretty quickly. Granted I don't think these were made to be put on/taken off multiple days a day every day so that could be part of it. ... show more

I used to have a similar inflatable cone collar for my late dogs, but when those dogs passed away I got rid of everything that was theirs. Well, recently my new dog was dealing with intense itching after a food allergy incident and she was scratching and chewing day and night. It was absolutely frustrating for all in the house and we weren't getting much sleep and she was obviously very uncomfortable. So I grabbed this adorable donut inflatable cone collar and it is absolutely perfect. It's adorable, it fits exactly as expected, and it keeps our girl from doing further damage to herself. The BGGo inflatable dog cone is a great alternative to the usual cone of shame. I like that it's soft and moves with our dog. It allows her to eat and drink without allowing her access to her stitches on her belly. She's a big puppy but she's a chewer and initially we didn't think that it was going to work. We figured that she was going to wiggle out of it, find a way to pry it off and take bites out of it. But she showed us wrong. It's well tolerated and she's been compliant with it on so far. Since it's washable, it's easy to take apart and clean. And since you can deflate it, it's easy to store and reuse. Overall, it functions as it's supposed to. You can adjust the stiffness by inflating or deflating to your requirements. There is a series of loops that you can thread your pup's collar through to help it stay put. The outer cover unzips to remove for easy cleaning. The Velcro closure in the front offers additional adjustments. This is so much better than the cone of shame. We got this because our Jindo was biting his feet. We thought this might help prevent that. He's figured out how to get around it. I am confident this'll work well for post-surgery or the like (i.e., keep the dog from messing with its abdomen).
