Way better than a plastic lampshade cone after surgery. If your dog goes outside much, you might want to get a second one. That way you can change out and always have a clean one.

We had our 7 months old, 56 pound Siberian Husky neutered. We wanted an intermediate between the E-collar the vet sent him home and not having a collar at all - especially since by day 3 he was completely back to his old self and not having the E-collar. Now our boy is especially good for a Siberian Husky-he's probably the most chill one I've ever met. But he still was acting up at having to take it easy after his surgery. And our other dog, a Pit Husky mix wasn't helping with his "keep calm" orders. Now, he could get to his privates-as it says, long nosed breeds probably can, however it was enough to determine him from trying to bug his surgery site too much, and get him to forget about it. It also allowed him to maneuver thru the house better than the E-collar did, and because he would come right up and cone pound you with the E-collar, once we got this, it saved us from getting more bruises than we were getting with the plastic E-collar. It works amazingly well for what we wanted it to do, and was easy to put on him-he didn't fight and freak out like he did with the E-collar. Our Siberian Husky never got it off, but he also never tried to. For funnies, we tried to put it on our Pit Husky mix (she is the real trouble maker in the family) and she got it off in a hot second, but our Siberian Husky didn't, so I'd say if you're using it for a dog that doesn't like it, you definitely want to make sure that you use some pet bandage wrap and keep the velcro strap from being swept off with a paw. This thing is durable, our Siberian Husky was able to run around and play with it and he must have been comfortable because he was able to sleep, eat, and drink normally with it. It may look funny-but it works! I never used it with my dogs collar looped through it because he never tried taking it off but you could alternately use pet adhesive tape through it and tie it in a knot instead of using the collar. It's easy to put on and take off and while it does make your dog look like the pool floaty kid from south park, it does its job and were happy we got it! ... show more

We purchased the Tonqixope Inflatable Protective Collar for our English Redtick Coonhound to prevent her from licking wounds on her belly during the night when we could not watch her. We attached her everyday collar to the inner ring of the inflatable collar's 3 nylon straps and adjusted the inflatable's velcro strap to secure the collar. Within minutes, we heard our dog scraping the collar against furniture to try and get it off and by the time we got to her, she had it hanging in front of her from one of the three nylon straps . We removed her everyday collar and fed it back out of the remaining nylon loop, the other two loops having been torn from the ultra thin fabric covering the inflatable donut. All of the stitching was ripped from approximately half of the inflatable's fabric covering. as shown in the photo. Next day we returned it for a full refund. It should come as no surprise that dogs will not like to wear such a collar (just as they do not like wearing a cone), so to have such ultra thin fabric with light stitching is unacceptable. Our pup got snipped today and he’s a sock loving thing, so he chews everything. But this is holding up pretty well, he’s not agitated by it like a cone. Overall would use for the future and highly recommend and most importantly he’s not able to reach the incision area and if he bumps a wall it’s not stabbing him in the neck!!!! ... show more

We purchased this item for our medium size miniature schnauzer. When it arrived, the pillow case is too big for the inflatable inset. It works ok but it’s loose on him. We use this when our dogs go outside to prevent him corn squeezing through our fence posts and running away. Because it’s loose, it doesn’t serve our need that well. Our yellow lab has in infection in his tail. vet suggested we buy this inflatable ring. it is not easy to inflate if you have to blow into it when the inside ring isn't easy to reach. If you have a bicycle pump it would be easier. We are seniors and it took us almost 1/2 hr to blow it up. if your dog is as active as ours is then the cover gets dirty really quick. ... show more

I would recommend buying 2 or 3 to keep around the house, we have 2 dogs and the other one keeps biting the collar. this is much easier than the plastic huge cones that when your dog hits you with it walking by your not in pain!! My dog is able to sleep comfortably with it on.
