I got this for my 20 month old. She likes it as much as a 20 month can. She does have a hard time getting the shapes out of the center. She goes through stages with toys so she uses it then forgets about it for awhile. Overall it is a nice toy just hard to keep her interested.

    • Easy places for my baby to grab
My baby is almost 4 months old and has been intentionally grabbing toys for at least two weeks now. This toy is super neat and has different places for her to grab at. It’s small and light enough that I can place it on her chest when she’s laying on her back and just the right size to fit in between her legs when I have her sitting up, leaning against me, or with me holding her, and supporting her under her armpits. The toy is also lightweight and small enough that it has become my travel go to for entertainment for this current season for her small but versatile, lots of options for her to play with. The toy has more textures than you'd think, which was a nice surprise. There's decent margin shape sorter-wise, so it's good for shape sorting practice in terms of inserting the shapes. But the stringy side that you extract the shapes from is awkward to use. So it's not great in terms of extracting the shapes from the toy. This is a cute toy with a few things to do. It has the little beads, the 'maze' and the shape sorter. It is a little tough to get the shapes out, but not too bad. I guess it gives them something to work at! I don't think it's going to be a favorite at our house, but time will tell. I have a 1.5 year old who likes sorting shapes, but we do have other shape sorters so we will see. I thought this one might be fun with the way that she can grab them back out. ... show more

    • Good for hand-eye coordination
The shape sorter is great for hand and eye coordination. The "bendy bars" are hard for a smaller child to maneuver and they definitely cannot pull the shapes through it. I don't recommend buying this product.

This toy is well made and durable. However the only thing I didn't like were the bars you put stuff through - they're pretty stiff and was difficult for my son to maneuver. But otherwise it functions well.
