The tap is versatile as you can cut to size but it is not adhering well at both ends and I have had to press it down a couple times to keep if from rolling up. Update: Company reached out to me and offered a full refund, which was accepted and applied. Good customer service support. Purchased for my leather couch. Cleaned leather first (with leather cleaner), then followed up with water to ensure no cleaner remained. Waited 24 hours to ensure it was good and dry. Unrolled the tape and laid out on the floor to ensure it laid flat. Applied the patch tape to my couch, held it in place, released and it stuck "briefly". Within one hour was self pealing away at all the seams (without anyone sitting on the couch. If the repair was on a seat that you were sitting on, it probably would work well. It just doesn't seem to adhere well when applied in a vertical direction. So good for when applied on any part that will have someone seated and applying pressure from their body weight. ... show more

We first tried 'Flex Seal", but that's really made for water leaks and was not at all conducive to our needs. This patch was offered in a variety of colors, was extremely easy to apply, is soft to the touch, adheres perfectly, and does not peel up on the edges. Does not actually stay on my sofa. I bought this because my cat has scratched the side of my faux leather couch. I put it in a couple of places, I have sat there pressing it firmly for a minute or two , and within 20 minutes, it started peeling off on all sides. I have tried taping it down to try to get it to stay. I have tried removing it, cleaning the area, drying it out and replacing it with new strips, all with the same results. It’s not a great product.
