Size of unit is great for countertop. Upon second use it no longer would allow to choose small or large cubes. Have had unit for some time now and to date electronics still does not allow to choose small cubes. Machine does not completely “make” and fill the ice basket as it tends to build up shutting the machine down until you either empty a partial basket of ice or rearrange existing ice allowing for next dump of newly made ice. ... show more

This is a great little ice maker. Takes less then 10 minutes to make a regular glass of fresh ice. We bag up some when the bin is full in a gallon size freezer bag (about 1/2 full) each when we know we will be needing a lot at once. 2 size of cubes. Kids love it. One caution is sides has to sit out aby itself because the blowers are on sides so it can't be tucked in with other counter top gadgets when in use. Easy to clean too. Well worth the money. I would not buy this machine again. It is very noisy, but made ice as promised in product description. However, less than one year after purchase, it gave up with only regular use of 4-5 days per week, 2 zip-lock bags worth of ice per day. I only used purified, or distilled, water the entire time. Also, there's no way to completely drain the reservoir without hefting all 26 pounds of machine over the sink and turning it upside down to empty. ... show more

Allowed to sit overnight, rinsed, filled with water, turned it on and had ice in just a few minutes. You can use tap water but I use spring water and I don't have any bad taste or odors. The ice melts back into the holding tank but sometimes the ice will be in front of the sensor and when I go to fill my cup there's not much ice. But it is usually enough to get by and it quickly refills after clearing the sensor. I have had running constantly for a couple of months and it has run flawlessly. ... show more

I bought this product because I have a bad knee and wanted an ice maker for upstairs so I would not have to go up and down to get ice. This is the second igloo ice machine that I purchases. The first one worked for about 6 months so I thought I must have gotten a bad one so I gave it another try, I bought a second one. Just last Nov 2022 and this morning 4/9/23... 5 months... It stopped working. The pump is not filling the tray with water. Two for two, I am very disappointed in igloo. I thought they made quality products that is why I went with their brand. ... show more
