    So this does everything it says! Initially I thought the auto shut off didn't work, however I went to make ice and I realized it was not producing after 20mins. This is after it had ran alI day, then saw the light above the ice button lit up. I hit it and it started to work. Also there was a noise that was fixed by cleaning the machine with all fresh.     This ice maker worked great for a while. It was always loud but it did make nice small cubes and was efficient. Then after a little over a year (interesting how it was right after the warranty ran out) it started leaking water and became even louder then stopped working. As others have said it is poor quality, super loud, and starts leaking after a fairly short life span. For the money we spent we expected a lot more. Don’t waste your money. Look at another brand.     It's pretty heavy-so be aware of placement. We have a "bar area" where it will be placed in our home. Keep in mind that you may want to be near a sink due to cleaning maintenance. As with most counter top ice makers, there is no connected water source-you have to pour in about 8 cups (2 liters) for a full drawer of ice. I've let it run overnight on the kitchen counter (it's fan is noisy & output is pretty warm) and results are great. NUGGET ICE in abundance! I've package up the ice & threw it in the freezer. Use the provided ice tray if you plan to leave it in the drawer. Not recommended for overnight - ICE WILL MELT. Keep it mind: it's an ice maker-not a freeze. I do not recommend for outdoor use. Best for indoor cocktail bar setup. And the nugget ice is great!!! ... show more

      • Great ice but loud
    Our family LOVES ice! When I saw the flash sale for this machine I jumped on it. It makes a perfect amount of ice although you have to make sure to keep refilling the container-I use filtered water. My only complaint is the loud knocking sounds and overall sound level. I placed my machine in our mudroom which is close to the kitchen so for us it works. However, if I lived in an apartment or small home this machine would annoy me and I would return. Again, ice is great, soft, chewable, produces a lot, replenishes quickly, taste great. Just has some noise:-) ... show more

    This ice machine makes great ice HOWEVER we had 3 replacements within the one year warranty period. Every single unit begins to drop black rubber bits (I’m assuming from a part or gear within the machine) then it begins making a very loud noise, leaking water from the back then stops all together. The unit when working properly is still very loud. We shut it off at night to sleep. This product is very poor quality and should be recalled or discontinued . ... show more

      • Not worth the price, it’s not going to last.
    Don’t buy this model. ITS NOT WORTH THE MONEY First one I bought broke within a year. It started leaking badly. I still had the warranty so just ordered a replacement. That broke within a year. Same issue. And a new issue, little pieces of plastic were coming out with the ice. Also it wasn’t really cubes anymore just blobs. Now the warrenty was expired and couldn’t get a replacement. So we took it apart to see what was causing it to leak. The main mechanism that the slush is forced through to make the cubes is made of a very cheap plastic. The pressure caused by just running the machine breaks that within months. The second one that broke was even pushing said cheap plastic up so hard and shredding it. Which was why it was coming out in shards with the ice clumps. Also it was DISGUSTING inside. Snotty looking mold on everything. I did clean it regularly but the leaks I couldn’t clean. In short Don’t buy this model. It’s not worth the money. ... show more

      • Good ice, cheap machine
    Makes great ice which also happens to last incredibly long and totally blew my mind being that the nuggets are so small. Unit clunks and knocks and bangs and is quite disturbing in general sound wise. Does make a lot of ice edict I needed. The handle broke before I even removed from the box, and it is just very cheaply made especially for being a higher price point. ... show more
