Great piece to preserve the beauty of your home and enjoy having nice condo lol for my dog to sleep. Piece came in less than a week. Well packaged. No written directions which would help. Took about 2 hours with 2 people. The piece is sturdy however I have a 6 lb dog. I could see how it may not be the best choice for a medium or large dog especially if they move around a lot. I wish the slide latches on the front and slide door matched the oil rubbed bronze of the other hardware. I may purchase those myself and change them out. This crate is very nice looking. The larger size without the divider gives my 32lbs 6mo old golden doodle puppy plenty of room to grow; it looks like it will still be plenty big when he reaches full size (approx 55/60 lbs). It was easy to assemble by myself in just about 2 hours, except that the Allen wrenches they give you strip easy (invest in a set of your own good quality ones if furniture assembly is a common activity for you). The crate itself is very sturdy and nicely designed. My only complaint is that the sliding door was hard to put on and once it is on it is not very secure. I have had it for about a week and it has come off the track three times. My dog doesn’t really try to get out of the crate but if yours does this won’t hold them. The latches for both doors (front and side) are also flimsy. It works for me and I’m fairly happy. ... show more

These are beautiful and sturdy! They were fairly easy to put together. Although I didn’t realize I was it together upside down at first. I got the XL size for my 50 lb golden retriever and 50lb German shepherd. They have plenty of room and it is even big enough to house my 100lb Great Pyrenees for short periods of time when needed. The sliding doors do not stay in place, the product is not made well. my husband will have to make modifications to make it work for us. We bought two and refused to deal with returning them.

This one was a bit more complicated to put together, but we did it. It has one extra of the hardware, except the hinge, of course. I am glad I had a handy friend to help with this one. It looks great and we all love it.

Great kennel and just what I was looking for! It was very easy to put together and looks great in the room I put it in. It is pretty sturdy, but I don’t know how well it would hold up to a dog that really wanted out of it. My puppy is kennel trained so doesn’t try at all, but everything rattles a little when he stretches out in it and kicks it. The door had also gotten a little stiff after a couple of weeks of use, but oil will probably work great on it. If you’re looking for a pretty, functional kennel for a dog that is well behaved in his kennel, this is great. If you’re looking for a sturdy kennel for a dog that wants out….I don’t think this is right for you. I have now changed my rating from 5 to 3 stars. Update- my dog has now broken out of the kennel twice. I think both times happened by accident. I think he pushed the sliding door hard enough to knock it off it’s runners while stretching, then continued to worry at it til it came off. This has now broken the wood and damaged the track that the door slides in. Definitely not a tough, durable kennel. But it was pretty while it lasted. Since I updated my review their Customer Service has reached out to be to help. They offered so much support and were so wiling to work with us even though the product was sound, just not as durable as expected. When this kennel dies I will gladly buy from them again. We plan on screwing the sliding door into the side so it can’t move and it will be more stable, then well use the side door only. ... show more

The package is HEAVY, so once delivered I had to bring it in piece by piece. Once in, I was able to assemble it by myself. Instructions made it easy to assemble and everything went as directed. Extra screws were given in case one gets lost. Once together, the doors opened and closed easily. This piece is ATTRACTIVE and blends well with my Buffalo check (black &white) color theme. (Matching IS important). It is the bedroom for two dogs, 2 doodles; one standard (large) and one Moyen (medium) and they both fit very comfortably in there. One of the selling features was the divider, but by the time I put it together my two pups were inseparable so I did not use it. My two like their room and do not try to escape, so I have not had to deal with much chewing or other attempts at escape. Definitely a good choice! ... show more
