This little ice cream maker does not take up much storage space and it is portable. That is why I got it, to take on trips in our motorhome. The base feels very solid, it has just enough heft to make it stable when using machine. The plastic paddle feels a bit flimsy, however. It comes with one sheet of recipes. It is charged by USB-C. We have tried several of the "old fashioned" type ice cream churns on Amazon and every single one of them either leaked, weren't powerful enough, or tasted terrible. We just wanted to recreate the true homemade style of ice cream that we had as kids and had given up until we finally decided to try a "modern" ice cream maker. And let me be the first to say that the results were jaw dropping! I literally don't have any complaints about this device (which is pretty rare for me). The ice cream tastes just like it did when we were kids, it is easy to clean, simple to operate, and has a ton of options as far as the types of ice cream you can make. If you even remotely enjoy ice cream or are looking for a convenient ice cream maker that tastes truly homemade, then I 100% recommend the Briobite! The media could not be loaded. This is a nifty little unit that makes really good ice cream. Does not take up a whole lot of space on the counter either. Couple of tips: Follow the instructions exactly - it is important that the base is frozen for a good 12 hours or more before you start. And once you start the ice cream maker, you can keep the whole set inside an ice box (such as the ones they use to ship frozen meats). Wish there were more recipes included - the card includes 4 starter ice cream ideas. ... show more

So far, I really like this ice cream machine. It works very well and allows you to make ice cream according to your own taste. It doesn'trequire any settings, just prepare the mixed solution to make delicious ice cream! However, they suggest placing the ice box in the refrigerator so that you can use it anytime.
