This is amazing. If you don't know, most hotplates have a thermostat that turns off 1500 watts occasionally. terrible for sauteeing anything or making grilled cheese. this has a 300 watt setting which is perfect. Also the perfect size for a box of mac and cheese, and you can easily fill and drain it unlike an instant pot. It would be better if the pot was an internal thing that you could separate easily from the part that you plug in, and it would also be better if the cord came unplugged more easily. but for 15$, absolutely amazing. DANGER the worst thing about this product is the cord situation. you want to be VERY conscious and aware of where your power cord is - tripping over it could obviously lead to disaster. ... show more

This pot has become a very important tool for me. My stove is unusable so this allows me to safely cook food right on my kitchen counter! I've browned ground turkey in it, cooked frozen pierogis, and made quinoa, to name a few things. It works very well. Don't understand. you can't remove the pan to put the water in. emailed company. said not supposed to remove the pan. I've not tried to use it yet, if put water in the fry pan, there's no room for anything else. Guess I'll chalk it up to my misunderstanding. guess I ordered wrong thing.
