Day to day usage - sure! Why not! But I bought it to be able to cook something when the power goes out, too. I live in hurricane country, and that requires some special equipment if you want to eat something warm and comforting because it revives you. I use a power station to power some of my Dash appliances and can cook a meal for one person at a time, including waffles by pugging it into the fancy battery. I am the only egg eater in the house, so why dirty a large skillet? I use my Dash griddle instead! And hash browns in a waffle maker to go with it are one enormous treat I don’t intend to do without! Ditto for waffled stuffing that is so crisp and delicious you will become addicted to the stuff! Play the “ Will It Waffle” game to see how many things you can cook in it and have some serious kitchen fun! Cooking on a 350 watt device saves a lot of money over that 220 stove! Cleanup is ridiculously simple. It’s non-stick! THESE APPLIANCES ARE NOT TOYS although they are cute as a bug’s ear. This is perfect for me. I am single and have recently become allergic to wheat. I love bread. So I can mix up a batter with one or more gluten free flours and keep it in the fridge. Whenever I feel like I really want bread I just take out this little gadget and make a waffle. (way easier than making a pancake). It's not a perfect substitute but it helps a lot. Plus, it's small, easy to operate and easy to clean (just wipe). This was definitely a good buy for me. I found that I get the best results by setting a timer for 3 minutes for each waffle. Great size, non stick works well, it advises you to not use the can spray, rubbing butter onto the iron after it heats up works well and easier to clean up without leaving residue.
