Got this based on reviews and was on sale. Wanted to get a carrier that would hold as heavy a bike as possible and this is up there with 70 lbs per bike, 2 bikes, 140 lbs total. Easy to assemble: the instructions had numbers in pictures matching numbers on the parts bags. I deducted a star on easy to lock, it ratches in one direction, down, if pushed down too hard the button to unlock the ratchet is hard to push, had to tap mine gently to get it to unlock. Holds my e-bike secure. There's some wobble in my hitch receiver and their hookup which is normal. Here's a tip: Get a small rag and some silicone spray that comes in the can. Squirt a drip on every exposed rivet heads, the locking mechanism hinges... everything. I did this to prevent corrosion on the metal parts and wiped down the ratcheting bar and mechanism. Now it's silky smooth and zero resistance. Overall, pleased with this product ... show more

    • Very hard to push the button to release the top bar
When unloading, we always have incredible difficulty pushing the button to raise the bar holding the bike down. My wife is usually unable to do it, and I have problems. Additionally the whole rack does wobble a lot--I may replace the quick release tilt bolt with a regular bolt to try to eliminate it. Could have been a great rack, but hard to use and wobbly. ... show more

Study rack , love that the sliding hooks lock to prevent/detour theft . Also nice it tilts down even though it’s not far enough to completely open my tailgate .

This product has worked well for me, it’s great that while in storage it folds up taking much less room. My last bike rack did not fold and it was very awkward to store, glad it is gone. Anyway, I’ve had no problems and I am very satisfied with this bike rack. I built my own light bar and attached it to this rack for when travel and place a cover over the bikes it hides the tail lights. Some manufacturers should consider making an attached signal lights, people could use them. ... show more

    • Fix the wobble
Easy to assemble and well built. However, it rocks back and forth like a teeter totter. I found an acceptable solution. I have a pickup truck with a roof rack. I used a ratchet strap. I hooked one end to the metal tire slot and the other to my rooftop rack. I cynched it tightly which lifted one end of the bikerack upward, thus eliminating its ability to rock back and forth.
