Some hoses are too heavy and stiff. Some too light and kink way too easily. This one is a decent compromise, a little on the soft side, but still easy to move around. I'm using it to run from a tee to a semi-permanent sprinkler, so I haven't drug it around or abused it much, but it's held up fine and the ends have stayed sealed under pressure. This lightweight hose is easy to maneuver around a small area like a patio or balcony even when full of water. It comes with one rubber gasket and I found that it didn't leak at the area where I connected the nozzle, but it did leak a small bit at the connection to another hose, when the water was all the way on. The flexibility is good, and because of the smallish diameter, it doesn't get super heavy and rigid. This is a handy tool to have to extend an existing hose for better reach, or if you need a 25 foot hose for a smaller area. ... show more

I am an Amazon Vine reviewer, and I chose this product, which I received for free (though I do pay taxes on it) for an HONEST review. I am reviewing the Expandable Garden Hose 10 ft Water Hose with 10 Function Spray Nozzle, Lightweight Flexible Hose. I chose this item for one of my smaller garden areas. I have problems with my neck and wrists, so carrying around heavy hoses can be difficult and painful, so I was looking for something light weight. The good, this hose is light weight and so far, hasn’t leaked. It weighs just about 1 ½ pounds. The fittings to appear to be brass. The bad is that it is very thin, and I can’t keep it from staying kinked. Usually, if I straighten a hose in the sun, fill it with water, and let the pressure stay for a bit, the kinks will come out of the hose, but this hose is so thin that it just keeps folding over on itself. This makes it very difficult to water even my small garden space. Due to that issue, I have chosen to just hook this up to one of my rain barrels to fill my portable 5-gallon bucket. I think the manufacturer sacrificed functionality for weight. The collar near where the hose connects is such thin rubber that when I was trying to cut the straps holding the hose together, I accidentally cut that collar, with light weight kitchen scissors. The sprayer that comes with it works well, so that is definitely a plus. The sprayer head is all plastic, but it hasn’t had any issues leaking either. I really wouldn’t recommend this house to my friends or family due to the thinness of the hose and the constant kinks. Honestly, I haven’t ever had this much problem with a hose kinking in the past. I ordered this hose and it arrived as described except the photo made it look like a full-length hose. 10ft is much shorter than I was expecting. This is well-made and heavy-duty with brass ends. It doesn't leak at the connectors. The hose is made of a soft material so it kinks but is easily managable. Overall, this is a great hose and I recommend!     • Lightweight & Durable!
The last several hoses I have bought are the lightweight, expandable hoses. I like them for the weight, but what I haven't liked is the durability. I have yet to have one of these hoses last a year before some component gives out. I decided to try this one out because it is not expandable, but is listed as lightweight. I have been very impressed, as it does not kink, but is not heavy like a traditional rubber hose. I also like the fact is is black, I can use it for watering and it blends in with the bedding, rather than standing out like a bright green hose. The weight is excellent, very light, almost comparable to the expanding hoses. What remains to be seen is the durability over time, but I have a feeling that this will not be an issue. ... show more

I ordered this 10ft hose for an extension to reach where I wanted my grandkids splash pad and kiddie pool. It works great, no leaks and is handling the abuse of the hottest summer on record in Arizona.

    • Expandable 10 ft gardent hose
This is just what I needed for the side of my house. I was looking for a short hose to use to fill my watering can. This is perfect and does not take up a lot of room or look sloppy hanging on my holder. It has a tight fit on my spigot and was easy to install.
