    • LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS FAN
Always been a fan of Hunter brand fans and this one doesn't fail. It's whisper quiet, steady with no shaking, and absolutely beautiful. The blades have a choice of color, I was surprised though to see a 'printed' barnwood, it looked cheapy... until I installed it and put it up. Can't tell if it's real wood or not; real wood would just warp anyways so there is good reasoning behind printing the wood color on the blades. I am 59 y/o and put this up by myself -- I pre-read the directions the night before so that when it came time to installing this fan, I would be familiar with it. My husband couldn't believe his eyes when he came home to see it installed! :) It's put together smartly! The only down side to this fan is that the light isn't good for much -- it's 'up lighting' so the light stays up near the ceiling -- it's ok for us because we didn't need much light where we installed it. Also, be sure the wall switch is a standard switch, not a dimmer switch, you will have problems with the fan/light. The remote is easy enough to run but the light dimming feature seems to be non-functioning even when that feature is turned on, on the remote. All in all, this is a fabulous fan. ... show more

    • Frustrated with customer service and lack of quality in the remote control feature.
This is a great looking fan, quiet and the light works nicely providing a decent amount of light but not too bright. The problem is the remote control feature! When it was first installed it worked great in all 3 fans that I purchased. I adjusted one of the fans speeds within 5 days of installation and it shut off. I was never able to turn it on again nor could I activate the light! My installer said this has been a large failure point on these Hunter fans usually right out of the box. Many of his customers have had to send them back. We trouble shot the fan and it was clearly the green capacitor that allows it to be controlled remotely. Contacted Hunter and they are willing upon showing proof of purchase to send me a new capacitor control but I have to go through a pairing process to get that part and the remote to communicate with the fan. I asked if they could send me a new remote that is already paired and they said no. Not the best customer service in my opinion! It’s bad enough that I paid for installation and now trouble shooting! Now I have to wait for the part and pay for my electrician again! 3 bills for one fan!! Not happy at all! ... show more

A great fan from Hunter. Beautiful for an outdoor patio or a farm style home. Also has a slight nautical theme that can work as well. The only issue was that I assume it was dropped as a bulb was broken and the fan moter unit was pushed in making it off level and wonky when installed. The good part was Amazon would have returned it but instead put me in direct contact with a Hunter associate and after a few proof of pictures and the full Amazon receipt stating it was bought new, Hunter is sending me a new one in 5-7 days as of yesterday. Took 4.5hrs to install!!! First caused by poor quality wood screw for bracket. As per pic string so easily and then had to hacksaw head to vice grip twist out. I mounted on porch which is A frame, so bracket design is not conducive to "V" setup and then canopy had to be modified as will fit on a flat surface. Then a design flaw in screw holes for light kit hosing is directly under the the light bulb stems - how about moving them in between ??? Other than this, the instructions were pretty good, the wiring really easy and the balancing kit a breeze - zero wobble! The remote was disappointing for the price - would be good to have 3 speed options as well and dimmable light.... ... show more

Fan works fine but is very cheap looking and flimsy. The wood grain does not look genuine except from a distance and the metal parts are thin, not sturdy. This fan would never last outside. Very disappointed considering how much the fan costs.
