So let me start by saying I’m almost 50 and have been a fan of high quality down duvets, silk duvets, silk lightweight alternative etc. . I’ve purchased them all over the last few decades. I spent a week researching before finally purchasing this brand. I researched the filling as well as the outer shell. I also researched the way it was sourced as I’m also vegan and wanted ethically sourced materials. Along with compliance with United States regulated requirements. When the box arrived I was shocked as to how small the package was. However immediately upon removing it from the vacuum sealed package it started fluffing without any work at all. I looked it over to confirm it was clean. I did not feel like it needed to be laundered first upon using and let me tell you I’m a quasi germaphobe so I’m very picky about my bedding and home being clean especially my new bedding and clothing! I always launder my bedding and clothing before use however this duvet did not need that. I’m going to be putting in a duvet cover and even if I wasn’t, this arrived super clean id use over my sheets even without a duvet cover. I did put it in the dryer on “AIR FLUFF NO HEAT” for only like 5 minutes. I don’t think it was even necessary. I pulled it out and put it on my bed. I should also add that the outer shell is pure clean white in color I see no feathers poking out and or shifted down. Everything looks even to me. The duvet also has a very nice black piping along the edges. Not one feather was in the package or floating around which I’m grateful for because cheaper brands I have purchased have had this issue and feathers and contents end up all over my home which is beyond frustrating. Another notable feature is the fact that the duvet was super clean looking. Many times these types of items are constructed in a factory and occasionally end up on the floor or dirty for whatever reason! Not this! Ok so as far as the feel of the outer shell, it’s buttery soft and feels luxurious! It is not noisy! The stuffing is evenly filled in the baffle box structuring. The duvet itself is SUPER lightweight! I ordered a king to put in a queen duvet because I heard about this hack while researching and what that does is keep the comforter looking very fluffy and because this is so light it should not add any extra warmth. I’m in south Texas and it’s at times unbearably hot and humid here. However, this duvet is very lightweight. Full disclosure I sleep with the a/c on in summer and spring for comfort and the heat on low if it’s very cold here… I value my sleep very much and absolutely control my sleep environment. I was looking for something very light yet fluffy and not hot. I definitely wanted a down duvet. I’m feeling very fortunate that I researched these and paid a little bit more for quality. I can wholeheartedly say it was 1000% worth it! As far as cost, this was the most expensive one I’ve purchased in my life however there was a 100$ off coupon that made it very obtainable. I still paid an additional 30$ upgrading to a king size. Which I believe was a smart idea. My overall experience with this company and their product has been top notch and I could see this product lasting for a very long time! I was not paid or compensated for this review in any way! It's soft, poofy and warm but not too hot. I put a duvet cover on it and it's just wonderful, like sleeping under a fluffy cloud. I give it a quick toss in the morning when I get up and it always regains its shape and puffs back out and looks very nice on the bed.
