Purchased this for my teenage son. He loves it so far. Instructions to work it are good and the set up was no problem. It has a few little details that make it interesting. Hardest part about it is the throttle. If you put it on high speed and try to run it on full throttle, there isn’t much chance you will bake a turn without rolling it over. I recently bought this RC truck to enjoy some quality time with my daughter, and it has been a fantastic decision. As someone who is new to RC cars, I was looking for something beginner-friendly but also fun and durable. This truck exceeded my expectations in every way. The truck is impressively fast, reaching speeds that provide plenty of thrills, especially for beginners like us. One feature I really appreciate is the adjustable motor response on the remote. This allows us to easily control the truck’s speed and power, making it perfect for getting the hang of things without feeling overwhelmed. The truck is also built to handle various terrains, and the shock absorbers keep it stable, even at higher speeds, which is great for off-road adventures. The remote itself is simple to use, although it does feel a bit basic compared to other models. The truck is solid and performs well, with excellent handling on grass, dirt, and even rougher surfaces. While the price is slightly higher than some other models in the market, it is still a great value considering its performance and durability. Overall, I’d give this truck 5 stars. It’s been an amazing way for my daughter and I to bond and share an exciting hobby. We’ve had so much fun already, and I’m looking forward to many more outdoor adventures with this truck.     • Having more fun with this than my 1/10 scale
The smaller size of the 1/18th scale lets me get into places I am not used to being able to go. It is quick and the battery (they include 2) has lasted half an hour of hard running and still had juice left. I am not hard my RC's but this one did take a high speed header into a curb at 45 degrees and flipped onto its head (in the first 5 minutes of ownership!). I popped it over and it took off like nothing happened. It might not sound like much, but my latest 1/10 scale (MUCH pricier) truck busted a wheel mount doing a sharp turn on pavement, so I am happy to report this car seems to be very well built. The one downside I have found is the body is kind of a pain to remove. The access to the clips on the rear are hard to get at with anything but small fingers. I am not taking a star off for that as it really does hold the body on secure, it just would have been nice to have it come off a different way. Cant wait to get it out at campsites and have some real fun in the spring. ... show more

This basher is a beast. 18th scale at 30+mph is crazy and it takes off so hard it does wheelies and even almost flips over. Lots of fun but might be a bit too crazy for a beginner. We have 10th scale bashers so the 18th was more for indoor fun.

I'm fond of these small RC trucks, especially those equipped with a brushless motor and the handgrip-style RC controllers (rather than the toy-like gamepad style). The quality of this RC controller is impressive, and the one that's included is superior to what's typically bundled in such packages. It's great that it operates on standard RC lipo batteries, although I would have preferred XT60 connectors to the Deans connectors it came with. However, I can either swap them or simply use an adapter with my other batteries. This thing absolutely RIPS! Thankfully there's some throttle control that can be adjusted until you can get a better handling on the higher power. At full, it will 100% flip itself over from a stand still if you max the trigger. Handles great and the steering can be trimmed if needed to ensure as straight of driving as possible. 2 batteries is really nice and charge times isn't terrible. Instructions show an exploded view and includes listings and numbers for all spare parts. Lights look fantastic and are very bright. For the price, it's absolutely solid.
