Make sure you pay attention to the weight limits, and treat them as a law, or you will have some issues. Built sturdy, but I had problems self balancing. I’ve never used a hoverboard. Learning how to mount and dismount without the unit shooting off was a bit challenging. This is my 13 year old son's third Hoverboard. While they've all been this brand, this is his least favorite. It is slower, which isn't a huge deal, but it is also lower to the ground - too low. This means that you can't lean as far forward to go and its easy to lean too far, which makes the front edge catch on the ground. He's well under the weight limit, so that's not the issue. It's the design. Not ideal. If you're looking for a slower, easy to learn on Hoverboard for a smaller and younger child, I would say this is a great place to start. For older, more experienced teenagers or smaller adults, I would say to look for a better model. ... show more

While this isn't a deal breaker I feel like its good to know besides this its really light and easy to transport and pretty fast. I was hoping to give this to my son, but after reading the weight limits, and warnings. It looks like my grandson will be the first on to use it. It looks fun, but takes some practice. It would be a great gift for a kid, but it doesn't hold enough weight for most men.

The media could not be loaded. My children hate getting off of this thing. Takes a while to charge, but also last quite a while. Didn’t see an option to be able to turn off the lighting in the instructions, but that would be a nice addition. I got this to use myself to see if I could keep up w/ my kid on walks, but unfortunatly I weigh too much. I'm 6'1" and not as lean as I used to be, but it was way too much for this. My Daughter didnt want it, so I'm stuck with something I can't use. Other than that, the other features on this seemed on par with other devices like it and it does seem sturdy when I'm not on it, so someone else might be able to use it...
