My son really wanted one of these for his birthday and this seemed to be the best one. His cousin got a Hover-1 secondhand so we ordered it in a different color with a protection plan. I read all of the instructions and followed them carefully, but it was already having issues charging on day one and the operation did not match the instructions at all. A couple months later it stopped charging altogether, and he didn't tell me until about a month after he noticed. He had fun with it when it worked but it needed to be calibrated every other time he used it. And he barely got to use it before it broke down. I'm just glad I ordered the protection plan and do not plan to purchase ever again. I will say that the cousins' secondhand Hover-1 board still seems to work just fine, so maybe we got a factory defect. But these can be pretty dangerous; one of them almost got their hand stuck in the wheel.. All of the kids in my family really like these but I do not. My kiddo loves it. Great and easy to learn for beginners. Bought couple of these for my niece and nephew. Just that depending on the use (if you ride more on roads) it needs resetting every once a while. But the product is good.

The media could not be loaded. Total junk and a waste of money. Find something else. My son wanted one so badly for his birthday. He opened it, charged it and used it twice. One of the pressure pads stopped working and the board become inoperable. The company wanted a video of the issue and manual reset and recalibration. Recalibration is not easy, but doable. You’ll need two 6” levels to do the job and 4 hands. After this they require you to send pictures of “decommissioning”. You ha e to open the unit, remove the battery and cut some wires. It’s not difficult, but in my opinion ridiculous. They’ve already seen proof via video that it does not function and the steps to try and fix it do not work. Now I have to disassemble it and cut it up!? Never again. Do yourself a favor and buy a more reputable brand. This thing and the company are both garbage. ... show more
