This rooftop carrier was great! It was placed on a 2018 Subaru CrossTrek with crossbars. We loaded 2 weekender rolling bags, a large duffel and 2 beach bags and an overnight bag in the rooftop carrier. On our way from Alabama to Chicago, we didn't have rooftop "drag" or any noise at all. At several rest stops, 2 individuals asked about the rooftop carrier and I allowed them to take a photo. On our way home, it rained for 6-8 hours intermittently. We arrived home, with dry luggage and beach bags. The canvas was wet from the trip but not the inside of the bag. Today, I placed the carrier outside to allow the sun to dry out the bag completely. I flipped it on both sides for an hour or so and was able to fold it up and return it to the carrier bag that came with the product. To carry more items on the rooftop, I plan to move the crossbars and allow more of the rooftop carrier bag to spread out. This is the correct size for the car that I am currently driving. To facilitate ease of use, place the bag on the rooftop, insert luggage, tighten the straps, zip the bag and use the additional straps as needed.     • Waste of money!
I bought this months before a planned camping trip from NC to PA. When we arrived, the suit cases inside were wet and the top had a tear in it. The whole thing was really small and we could only fit a couple of suit cases inside. It was tough to get it on top of my Explorer because it was so small. I wanted to return the item but the return window had closed a couple of days before we used it for the first time. ... show more

I bought this item because me and the my 5 kids where traveling over the summer. And he have a thahoe but needed a little more room it held up well for our 16 hour drove with normal stops to check the straps it come with and it held up!!! We also ran thru some rain an everything was dry!! I highly recommend this item ... show more

I got this a few months before using and was worried where it came packaged with creases would cause a tear because you could see the crease points were lighter. We just put the bag through a 15 hr round trip where we experienced a couple hard rains. The bag performed perfectly. There was no sign of moisture and we had no mishaps. I just wish it had metal buckles, not plastic. Don't get me wrong. The plastic buckles held up, but they were always on my mind. ... show more

Traveled from Ohio to Orange Beach Alabama & worked well. Had no issues with the flaps or water in the car! Nothing got wet in the rain. Gave extra room to the travelers in the car. Glad we purchased it and definitely recommend

The size of this is fantastic. Just as big as the hard shell ones. Love that it can be folded back up and don't have to find much space to store it. Comes in a handy bag with handles. Definitely waterproof, as we used it in the rain. Straps are very durable and held it on well to our mini van.
