Our pillar candles make the perfect gift for any occasion. Whether you are searching for a colored fraganced pillar, or a white unscented pillar, Hosley candles will compliment existing decor along with adding a perfect centerpiece to your special event. Hosley candles are equally well suited for to a variety of indoor and outdoor uses, including emergency power outages or simply providing warm, ambient light. Be sure to keep your emergency kit stocked with extra Hosley candles. To maximize the burn of your candle, we suggest trimming and maintaining the wick to 1/8”. Trimming the wick helps maintain an even burn and helps keep the flame from getting too close to the glass. As a general rule, we also suggest using for no more than 4 hours at a time to maximize the burn duration. Always use on heat/flame resistant surface and burn within sight. Keep away from things that can catch fire and away from children and pets. Always keep the wax pool clear of wick trimmings, matches and debris at all times. The media could not be loaded. Cons, they drip above average. A little messy. They turn very soft and crack around flame as seen on video. Pros, so far they have been lit for 14 hrs but I had to trim the wick to 1/3 of regular size at the beginning to have a smaller flame and prolong the burning time. Once lit I trimmed the burned wick after 4 hours and disposed liquid wax. 1/3 of candle remains after 14 hours. ... show more

I used 5 of the six candles yesterday for a party… Two of them kept burning out because the wick was too short. I had to keep pouring the wax out of the bowl and relighting the wick but it still did not work. Not the funnest thing to do during a party. The surface of these candles was all crumbly. I'm not sure what would cause that. They seem to work okay so maybe it is just a cosmetic problem.
