I have moderate asthma. After I had a respiratory virus in 2020, scents have bothered me. I ended up with a heightened sense of smell. Most brand name candles, I'm talking about the ones I LOVED made my throat hurt and gave me breathing difficulties. Sometimes even trigger a migraine! THIS CANDLE DOESN'T DO ANY OF THAT! This candle smells lovely, but be advised that it puts out a very, very potent scent even when not lit. My entire open kitchen, dining and living room space is filled with the scent. So much so, I used another candle cover to cover it up when not in use. Maybe some people would like this, but it's just a little too much for me even despite the fact that its a nice scent. So I guess the upside is that you don't even need to light this thing to fill your room with fragrance. ... show more

I've bought quite a few candles because I like the light scent of sage, cedar, and/or pine/cedar. The disappointing part of most candles is that they don't last. So far I've used this for a week about 4 hours per day and its barely an inch down. Fantastic!

This candle has a nice jasmine scent, it is powerful and it is a candle that you can smell, I like that a lot. I gave it 3 stars because it smells nice, if you like jasmine, it burns slowly and can fill a relatively large area. However, in no way or shape is this a dupe for Santal 33. There would need to be much, much more sandalwood in this to balance the sweetness of the Jasmine out. For the price, it's a good candle, only because it burns slowly and you can actually smell the candle. If you want a dupe for Santal 33, maybe hit up ChatGPT for recommendations. ... show more

It doesn't smell exactly like a fire, but compared to a few other candles I've tried that advertised themselves as 'fireplace' scented, this one comes the closest. For some reason candle manufacturers seem unable to mimic the smell of a real wood fire, so this will have to do.

UPDATE: I am updating my rating because the scent throw was much better once it had burned for 4-5 hours. The candle smells amazing and surely reminds me of Baccarat 540, but the only way to enjoy it is to carry it around with you and sniff it because there is no scent throw when lit.
