Features

  • The HORL2 Cruise sharpener has the flexibility to satisfy individual requirements in knife sharpening and a Magnetic Angle Support with a 20 angle for a robust blade.
  • The HORL2 Cruise sharpening system combines diamond and steel discs to sharpen knives of any hardness, including European kitchen knives, hard or soft steel, stainless and rust-resistant steels, and outdoor knives. The industrial diamonds used are the most durable and efficient abrasives.
  • Achieve a sharp, long-lasting edge on your knives with the 20 grinding angle, perfect for robust cutting tasks in the kitchen and beyond.
  • Create a finely honed, razor-sharp edge on your knives with the extra fine 20 grinding angle, ideal and stable grinding angle for long lasting sharpness for Damascus knives, and particularly hard steels with a high carbon content.
  • The simple chalk painted finish makes the sharpener an eye-catcher in any kitchen. Made for robust, long-lasting sharpness.

  • Best knife sharpener ever!
If you want a truly sharp kitchen knife this is the best sharpening tool I’ve ever used!

  • Good tool!
I bought this to see how well it worked and tell you what, if you are looking for an easy way to sharpen your slightly dull knives then this is super easy and works fast as well! :)

  • Works very well, better than I could do with a diamond sharpening stone
Previously I had purchased a SHARPAL Diamond Sharpening Stone and spent a couple hours going through all my knives with it. I thought I did rather well, the knives were sharper and I was happy. I had kept going back and forth between a rolling sharpener and the stone and decided to save the money and get the stone. Well I watched a few videos on YouTube and the rolling sharpener just kept nagging at me so I decided to give it a try. As well as I thought I did over a few hours with the sharpening stone, I achieved a much sharper and more consistent edge with the Horl in about 3-5min per knife. I'm blown away at how efficient it was. I opted for the Cruise since it uses the same diamond disc as the standard and the stainless steel honing side will work fine with my knives. I am sure you can get an even sharper edge with time, practice and skill using a diamond stone but I'm not interested in putting in that effort when my main purpose is to keep my kitchen knives sharp. This was so effortless I will have no problem taking it out to tidy up my knives any time rather than the weight of having to dedicate time to use a stone. I gave this 4 stars because as well as this works, the materials/engineering does not warrant this price tag. $99 I feel would be more fair but as said previously, the performance worked very well so I will be keeping it. ... show more

  • Very easy to use and very good sharpener!
Love the ease of use and I’m impressed how well it sharpened my knives! Didn’t realize how dull they really were until using this. Opted for this product as it’s the original design and very well made. There are cheaper knock-offs for half the price but don’t last. Very happy with the purchase

  • I love the Horl!
I used The Edge knife sharpener for years and was quite happy with it. Now, in my late 60's, I'm getting a bit lazy and I wasn't sharpening nearly enough. Wanting something easier to use, I searched for something to match my laziness - the Horl 2 Cruise with a 20 degree angle caught my eye. After using it on 6 knives of different degrees of wear, blade style, brands, and neglect, I am completely satisfied with this sharpener. One of the knives I have, a Pie Brand chef's knife, that when new was the sharpest knife that I ever owned. I never thought that I could get that edge as sharp as when it was when new. Well the Horl restored it to 'as new'. ... show more

  • Quick and easy sharpener
Does a great job. Easy to set up and gives a knife a good sharp edge. Well satisfied. Little more expensive than some sharpeners, but results are what matters to me. Would purchase again for sure.

  • Sharpens OK, Got extra attachments but couldn't remove the original disks
I bought this with the additional 3k and 6k stones and Strop. The instructions say you can unscrew the disk to put on the new ones, but no matter what I did, it would not unscrew. I don't get enough sharpness with the Horl2 with default disks. It is easy to use, small, and fits on my 12" chef's knife and down to the paring knife. But it's not as good as it could be if the disks were removable. I'll have to return the additional item, which wasn't cheap. ... show more

  • 20 degree or 15? Am I supposed to know what my knife’s edge is?
It doesn’t really work if the knife blade isn’t tall enough. You have to prop something under the knife to raise it up; something flat and long enough like a piece of wood. I sort of expected that when I ordered it. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because it is too expensive. I didn’t want to buy one if the cheaper chinesium knock offs but still, its a pricey puppy ... show more
