Pay close attention to what they say in the building instructions. They're well written and will save you time. I realized that after I was done building it and saw the WHY they have you specifically do things in a specific order. I like when manufacturers separate the parts into their blister packs by the step you need bolts, nuts, and washers. They also supply all tools. So the tool-less among you need not worry. Weight: Its fully 200 lbs of STEEL. So be prepared when moving it. I already had a $20 flat low furniture dolly from harbor freight. So put it on that and wheel it around. Unless you're a weight lifter, you are not going to man handle and slide this around your house up and down stairs. For the cable from the treadmill to the console I used their twist tie to tie it off at the top of the arm. Hardest part was not snapping the wires when plugging one end into the console receptacle. Just be patient and work on it and try not to snap wires. Ok its built: they send silicone for between the belt and the platform. Used the half bottle like they say. I used a quarter bottle. retensioned the belt. ran the belt on 1 mph for a bit. Let it sit overnight to soak in. Then used the other quarter bottle the next day. To break it in, I ran it on 1 mph for two 15 minute workouts. Treadmill is perfect. The roller speed and incline roller is great. The soft start which ramps up the speed is excellent. Also when speeding up or slowing down it ramps the speed or incline so its not so abrupt. Press Start, P1 (Program 1), then Start and it will count up in minutes and you can manually adjust everything. I have had no problems in the week of use. I go 15 minutes for every 2 hrs of sit down programming I do. So thats like 10-12 individual workouts. Tip: When untensioning the belt they give you a T handle to do it with. Sharpie mark one part of the T. Then count full rotations (14 full rotations) allows me to get my arm under the belt and put silicone on the board. Tip2: Put the platform in the folded position when putting on the silicone to help it to run down the platform. Do the zig zag pattern that they recommend. Tip3: Its HEAVY so don't expect to just roll it around everywhere unless there is a lot of room for manuevering. Tip4: Build it where you are going to use it. They say it too. Very valuable advice. Tip 5: If you ever wanted a Treadmill. This is it. It doesn't have 100 programs you'll never use. It has 6 that vary when you pick the level of effort. Well done Horizon. I will consider your products in the future.

**Review of Horizon Fitness T101 Treadmill** I purchased the Horizon Fitness T101 treadmill on August 17, 2024, and I am alarmed to report that it is currently inoperable. From the outset, my experience with this treadmill has been fraught with issues that raise serious concerns about its safety and overall quality. During use, the treadmill would unexpectedly pause mid-stride, creating a significant safety hazard that nearly resulted in injury. This malfunction not only disrupted my running rhythm but also posed a serious risk of falling, which is particularly concerning for anyone who relies on a treadmill for their fitness routine. Such a critical flaw raises grave doubts about the product's reliability and overall build quality. When I first contacted customer service for assistance, I was met with further frustration. I was asked to provide a serial number, which I could not locate. Despite my willingness to send my purchase receipt as proof of ownership, the representative insisted on the serial number, making the process unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming. This lack of flexibility in their customer service approach is unacceptable, especially for a product that is supposed to be backed by a reliable warranty. Additionally, their Amazon.com webpage lacks clear instructions on how to file a warranty claim, which adds to the confusion and frustration for customers seeking support. After finally locating the serial number, I submitted a warranty claim on April 4, 2025. The agent assured me that replacement parts were available and would be shipped immediately. However, the tracking number provided indicated that only a shipping label had been created, and the parts were inexplicably delayed for three days in Stockton, California. This delay was not only inconvenient but also indicative of poor logistical management on Horizon's part. We ultimately received the parts on April 15, 2025, but the customer service experience remained deeply unsatisfactory. My wife encountered conflicting information from two different technicians regarding the status of our repair, which only added to our frustration. We were informed that the technicians accept jobs based on Horizon's payment structure, raising serious concerns about their commitment to customer service and the quality of repairs being performed. The previous treadmill I owned served my family reliably for four years, and it cost significantly less than the Horizon model. The stark contrast in durability and performance is troubling. The build quality of the Horizon treadmill is highly questionable, and the numerous issues I have faced highlight a troubling lack of durability and craftsmanship. It is disheartening to invest in a product that fails to meet basic expectations for quality and safety. As of April 25, 2025, a technician arrived to install a new belt and motor, only to discover that both side panels were completely broken and not securely attached to the treadmill. This presents a critical safety risk, as the technician claimed that the treadmill could still be used without these panels. This statement is not only alarming but also reflects a concerning attitude towards safety and quality control. It appears that this situation is a manufacturing defect, and I am now left to contact Horizon once again to address this alarming issue. The fact that I have to repeatedly reach out for resolution is indicative of a systemic problem within the company's customer service and product quality. In summary, I cannot recommend the Horizon Fitness T101 treadmill due to its poor build quality, significant safety hazards, and the lack of effective customer service. The combination of these factors raises serious concerns about the reliability of this product and the company's commitment to customer satisfaction. Investing in a treadmill should provide peace of mind and a reliable fitness experience, but my experience with Horizon has been anything but that. I urge potential buyers to consider these issues carefully before making a purchase, as the risks associated with this product far outweigh any potential benefits.
