These were very easy to install DIY and provide much better heat management than the old Dimplex dial thermostats I had. Easy to switch between modes (economy of out of town, etc). Look much better as well compared to the older ones I had in the wall.

    • Game Changer!
My older home heads baseboard heaters & a thermostat for each heater. It’s an utter pain in the winter, having to walk to all 8 after work, to heat the house. To reduce overconsumption of energy, the heat is left off, during the 8-9 hours we’re away at work. Not doing this would cause insane electric bills. This thermostat has changed our life. It has several different programmable modes, which allows us to have the home toasty, when awaking to prepare for work, as well as returning in from work. No more coming home to a cold house. The unit was very easy to install & the instructions to program were transparent & easy to follow. No special tools were needed. I purchased 2 for the downstairs living area & thought I would gradually replace all 8 thermostats. However, this 1 unit worked so well, that the second unit was not needed.     • Easy to install but temperature readings aren't accurate
It's a good and easy to operate thermostat. The only issue is that it reads about 6 degrees lower than it actually is in the space.

Went two years in my new townhouse with junk thermostats that didn't control anything except whether you were freezing cold or wasting money sweating hot. Bought this Honeywell Home YRLV4300A1014 and wish I did 2 years ago. Mine was a easy 2 wire non polarised installation so can't connect the wrongs wires together which was cool both my wires were solid black in the electric box (saved me the hassle of getting my voltmeter out to check wire polarity). Had this installed for about 2 weeks now and I can't believe how accurate this thing is. You set it to a temp and it stays that temperature. I doubled check the accuracy of this unit with 2 different thermometers and it's always reading exactly what it should which is 70 degrees. The fact that the backlight runs on the power from wires and not a battery is a bonus as well is the progamable features. I don't use the programming feature cause me and my wife work different varying shifts and we have cold blooded reptiles that terrarium temperatures fluctuate depending on room temperature. Wish I would have just ponied up the $40 two years ago cause it would have saved me more than that in wasted electricity and been way more comfortable. No more wondering is it cold or hot in here or is it just me, cause it's always 70 degrees. Plug in a vaporizer or humidifier and that 70 degrees turns into a warmth that will make you fall asleep on the couch with the TV on. I'm 36 and married with 3 kids and this purchase brought me joy cause it worked so well. Yeah it's sad and pathetic but oh well who cares it's 70 degrees like it should be. ... show more

Easy to change to display Fahrenheit. Easy to program schedule. One program for weekdays, one for weekends. Either program can be for each day: Lo, High, Medium, High, lo , or just Lo, High, Lo. Installs easily. If your heater has a fan, be certain to put it in fan mode so the fan does not cycle on and off so frequently. This is easy to program. ... show more

I have purchased several of these thermostats in recent years and found them AMAZINGLY easy to install and to use. But I mostly write to thank a recent reviewer who mentioned the importance of going to advance settings (easily done as per the manual) to be sure you are set for either a baseboard type heater or a fan forced wall unit. This week I replaced two old dial type thermostats with these units but they both malfunctioned in the same way. They cycled on and off every 30 seconds!!! Not good. So I called the manufacturer rep who had no idea about this issue. She took a long time and then said I would have to get an electrician and probably find a different kind of thermostat. Well thank you Amazon and thank you reviewer. What a simple fix and what a relief!!! I am overjoyed that I don't have to deal with this. ... show more
