Easy to install , use a jumper wire from R to RH . The thermometer is 3 degrees on the high side , need to adjust .

    • Adjustable temperature deadband that works correctly
This is a very versatile thermostat that will work in a variety of applications. I bought mine to use with an electric heatpump and wanted to be able to adjust the temperature span so that the heatpump would start and run for a longer cycle period. This is much easier and more efficient for the compressor on a heatpump. Many modern thermostates only allow only a CPH (cycles per hour) adjustment that will not limit the on-off times of your heating unit, since the thermostat will prioritize the temperature setting over CPH. This thermostat allows adjustment of the on and off temperature up to 2 degrees on the high and low temp (span) on either the AC or Heating side. It is accurate and so far has worked flawlessly, a bargain compared to the Honeywell thermostat it replaced. ... show more

This particular thermostat works I've been through at least three of them that have purchased in other places this is the first one that actually works it's accurate easy to install and it works comes on goes off like it's supposed to. The only reason that I gave it four stars is that it shows a pilot light which means heat I guess.. I was confused usually there's a sun for heat not a flame means gas to me. It does have the snowflake for cold. other than that it is perfect you just set the temperature and it works. I'm happy ... show more

Thermostat prices for even basic ones is outrageous!!! This one is a must buy! Easy basic install. Directions for setup easy, did that before I even installed it. Put batteries in to program and see how the temperature variance was before I installed. Let it sit on top of my old one for a couple days to see how it read room temps compared to my old one that would get stuck on a temp and run forever. … side note….take out the batteries once installed! not require for operation. Better that all those basic ones costing $80 or more ... show more

Instructions could've been more clear with my unit.The wires are different for a Goodman Heat pump split unit.Had to call a HVAC specialist to hook it up properly.The A/C wouldn't come on with my split unit and blow cold air.Once I did this though and it was only $65 visit we were good to go.

Had to pay HVAC to troubleshoot our heat pump $160. It turns out that the Heagstst heat pump thermostat was the reason we could not get heat into the house. Missed our return window because by the time we called and was able to schedule an appointment with a service agent we were unable to return product.
