I have replaced mine twice (no need to call the HVAC/electrician!!) Last replacement was in 2017 and it is now starting to miss temp accuracy. If I set to 68º then room temp will hit 70º I will need to watch this as the replacement was due to the connection not turning off (forced air) when reaching the temp, which meant that the room got up to 80º before I realized that it was just TOO HOT! Looks like I might need to replace every 5 or so years --which is the way these days :( ... show more

Then you despise programable thermostats and you need this. Otherwise, feel free to waste your money on a $200 smart thermostat which will solve your loneliness by answering your random complaints about being cold or hot.

    • A classic design. One days an electrician will install it. The old one still works.

The one I bought will replace a much older model that's no longer calibrated correctly, but it's usable. So the new one is still in the box.

It works OK, but not as nice as the classic old mercury bulb type of this thermostat. The control is not as accurate as the old type with a heat anticipator setting. This electronic type with CPH settings are poor compromise. The set point is also off, as thermometer shows 70 degrees but setting is at 78 degrees on the dial! No way to adjust this either. Don't think I would recommend it. ... show more
