I began using this in my home office in March 2020 and I love it! I have to share my home office with my cat's litterbox which leads to dust and urine/poop odors. This little air purifier works wonders. My office is roughly 10x12 so its not a very large space and I let the purifier run 24/7. The purifier lasted about a month and a half before the filter light went on. I let it run for another month before I pulled it out and replaced it. I never noticed a decrease in the air quality. With COVID I've been spending a ton of time in my home office everyday and haven't had an issue with dust or odors since I bought this. I keep it on the highest setting and I don't find the noise of the fan to be distracting, it's a soft white noise. I got this because, when I write the first draft of my novels, it is longhand in notebooks, and I generally sit outside because I have a couple cigarettes (the only time I smoke). I hate smoking in the house, but fall came and now winter is approaching and I find myself freezing sitting on the porch to write. I decided to move my writing to my office. But I do NOT want any smell of cigarettes in my office or anywhere in the house. So, I got this little device. My office is small, and I only smoke a few cigarettes, so I didn't need anything too overpowering. Before this machine came in, I tried sitting in my office with the window that is by me open and a window fan blowing out to suck any smoke outside. Even doing that, plus high-end air spray and even leaving the room to air out, I could still smell the traces of smoke the next day. Once I got this device in place, I have had NO smoke smell left over. I do still open the window with a window fan drawing the "second-hand" smoke out, and I do still use the air freshener, same as before, with this Ionic Air Purifier, there is not even a TRACE of cigarette smell.     • Works well! Great for when you just need a small and simple air purifier!
So far so good! I bought this as a personal air purifier for my dorm room, but have been using it in my bedroom for the time being. It seems to help and work well, I have less allergies at night and there is much less dust floating around in the air. The unit looks pretty neat, nice and simple, but with enough flair to keep it interesting. The LED lights are a slight bright for night-time, but putting something small over the button cuts the light in half, and is much better when dark. Does not really bug me, but i feel i should mention it. Build quality is good, plastic, but not overly cheap, its sturdier than some more expensive air purifiers I have used and seen. The fan seems like it should last for a while, its a very "digital" sounding fan, potentially meaning magnetic, meaning longer life. However, there is a caveat with that, it could potentially be quieter, and "smoother" sounding, but I do not find it loud at all. It sounds like any other fan when on high, and you only notice the slight "digital" sound when it first turns on, and only some when on low. Again, not a deal breaker, at all, just something to mention. Overall it seems to really help. I only took a star off for one main reason, i have not had this unit for long, so i cnat really attest to how well it does, or how long it will last. However, i will update accordingly! ... show more

This is a great air purifier for a small room. I bought this for my daughters room. She has asthma and allergies and I thought it would be great to help with air quality in her room. We do have animals as well and her room always seems to feel fresh! *Nice clean air feel when I walk in to her room * Doubles as a noise machine. I was able to get rid of her fan. *Small, doesn't take up much space *Nice light blue light also doubles as a soft night light. *Has to settings *Really easy to assemble. Basically take it out of the box put the cord on and plug it in! Its everything I expected it to be and I am very satisfied with my purchase! I would absolutely love to get at least 2 more. One for my room, my son's room and maybe a larger modle for our living room area. ... show more

    • Works well but there are issues...
This is a very effective air filtration unit, but...it's loud - but you can get used to that. I run a fan when I sleep, I like the white noise, but this is more mechanical, like something inside is hitting or rubbing something else. But I have learned to live with all of that; I CAN'T, however, live with this machine telling me I have to buy a new filter and it hasn't even run a full month! And it's not like my house is filthy! We run an air filtration/ozone machine downstairs and buy the 3M allergy furnace filters and keep them clean - I live with an asthmatic. Just for giggles I took the filter out in the garage and hit it with my air compressor - NOTHING CAME OUT! No dust or anything! So it becomes clear that I would go broke having to buy a new filter every less-than-one-month. I didn't check to see how much they were, (I would assume they only come from this company) but I think I will use my time to find a new air filtration machine for my bedroom instead because this one is definitely getting returned! I have a Hamilton Beach in my office at work and it runs really well and six months on still using the original filter - maybe one of those for my bedroom too!
