I ordered a full/queen of this same type and unfortunately, it kept the heat in because it was too large for my bed and did not allow for any heat to escape. This one is perfect! I haven't woken up sweating at all. It is super soft and light but does keep you warm without overdoing it.

I was just looking for a cover blanket and it looks good. It is not thick but i use it with other blankets so it works fine. I have a thicker sherpa comforter for colder nights anyway. I saw some reviews that said it smelled bad? Maybe their package got wet. mine did not smell; i washed it and used fabric softener and it smells great. There was zero lint in the dryer after drying it, so it did not shed at all from washing it. It is only stitched around the edges though, so you can pull on the sherpa in the middle and see it is not stitched in the center. They probably should have ran some stitching across the center parts. I guess just wash it in a gentle cycle. ... show more

heavier than anticipated. Of course, nights are getting cooler now, so don't mind, though I had hoped for a mid weight warmer weather blanket for occasional cool nights. As some other reviewers mentioned, there is a bit of an odor that went away after washing. The color (sage green) is lovely, and the quilting pattern on the top layer very attractive.
