I've actually bought 3 of these, one as a gift, one for myself that I broke by dropping something heavy on it (a couch leg when I moved furniture) and breaking the plastic guide inside, and this one. I bought a smaller unit of a different brand once and it almost caught on fire because of a bad cord and that company has had multiple issues with that and didn't want to hear about mine but I sent it to them anyway and told them no I didn't want a replacement or a coupon. I came back to this brand because it's solid (except when you drop couches on it, not the product's fault) and helps with that knot one gets in the "chicken wing" upper back area. Every now and again I experience muscle tightness in my back causing great discomfort & pain. I wore out my last Shiatsu back massager over a 10 year period if time. I didn’t realize these really went up in price but thankfully found a new/used on Amazon fitting my shrinking budget and works terrific. Thank you! ... show more

This is a nice massager and will last a minimum of 3 years if used daily. The mechanism doesn't wear out but the cloth does. I am on my 3rd one after 10 years. The price is also excellent.

    • Turn your chair into a massage chair like at the mall.
This is a very nice massager. It has heat and massages the whole back. It could be better if you can set it to work on that one spot that needs it the most. Surprisingly it works great in any chair.

    • Good middle back massage almost no heat
This massager stops just as it's getting to your lower back it also stops just as it's reaching your neck I would say it only massages your middle and upper back but it does it well the heat is very light will not replace the heating pad I think I should have paid half of what I paid considering it doesn't rub your neck or lower back. ... show more

2nd one have owned. First one lasted ove 5 years with heavy daily use by 2. Excellent device, a true reliever of stress, stiffness, & pain. Nicely affordable, small footprint, long lasting.

We have been using this for many months now and it is holding together well. We enjoy the heat option when necessary but mostly use it without. The time is a bit longer to run a full cycle but we don't mind sitting around.
