I was hesitant at first because it wasn’t OEM but figured since the OEM carb lasted less than a year, I would try this one for less and no shipping fees. Carb has been in for over a year now and still starts up like it was just installed.

This item fit perfectly and was very easy to replace my old carburetor on my Troy Bilt grass edger. I don't even think it took me 5 minutes to do and once it was installed it worked perfectly.

This 2-cycle engine service kit was exactly the kit needed to bring my string trimmer back to life. The carburetor, fuel lines, fuel filter, spark plug and one gasket all were a perfect fit; however the neoprene carb-to-manifold gasket was too undersized to be useable, so I re-installed the original neoprene gasket, no biggie. Works great. I have a Craftsman string trimmer. It would only run if you ran it in a half chocked position. Figured it was the carb, but kept running it like that for about a year. Finally, the fuel lines rotted out. So I bought this kit. Works great. I’m glad they included the adjustment tool, because I had to fine tune the high speed screw a bit. The spark plug was a bit different than the original (was deeper/longer) but I didn’t need it so I just cleaned my original one. They give you a generous amount of fuel line (about 2 foot each). After replacing both hoses, I have enough left to replace the lines at least twice more. With the extra fuel hoses and extra primer bulbs, you’ll probably have to replace the carb before you run out of hose and bulbs. To feed the fuel hose, I cut the end at a sharp 30 degree cut. Then pushed that in, and reached inside with needle nose pliers to pull it through. Everything you need is included in this kit. The gasket between the carb and motor are different on the Craftsman, but if you remove the old one carefully without tearing it, you can reuse it. Otherwise, you could probably use the old one as a template and cut the new one with a sharp razor blade to match it up. ... show more

SOLVES NO START DUE TO FUEL DELIVERY ISSUES. After time, the springs and diaphragms inside the carb start to fail. Thus kit is the perfect solution at an awesome price point. PERFECT!!! Everything you need to replace worn out fuel delivery parts. And the price??? ALSO PERFECT!! Just can't go wrong with these kits. The next day delivery offered was just icing on the cake. Takes literally less than 15 minutes to remove/replace fuel lines, filter, and carb. Kit also includes an extra primer bulb. Ordered another one this morning to throw on the shelf. Much cheaper than buying a new weed eater and/or taking to local repair shop! ... show more
