When I first opened this I thought it was going to be a nightmare to assemble. I have an electric ratchet which REALLY helps the assembly, but overall it really isn't bad, can assemble the whole thing from the picture alone, didn't even need to read the instructions, there's a YouTube video from the Manufacturer too. You might need to get creative with how to mount it, there is an unimaginable amount of degrees of freedom, you'll spend most of your time messing with angles to get the right orientation for your mower but once you've got it just how you want it, you're good to go. I didn't need to make any modifications to my trimmer, works good and snug as-assembled. Just did my first cut and it wasn't bouncing around at all, very happy with it. ... show more

    • The u bolts and nuts are threaded wrong
Could not put together with the u bolts and nuts provided. Threads are wrong. I had to go to the hardware and buy 2 new u bolts and nuts to make this product functional.

I only mow a couple days out of the week for extra money and thought this would save me many trips back to the trailer to grab the weed whip.. it did its job nice for the first 2 months of light use, but the straps became weak and my whip kept coming detached while trying to mow. If you have large properties to mow and have the need to weed whack or run an edger on different parts of the property this is a must. You can mow up to the spot that needs trimmed and then continue mowing, no need to come back to trim.

    • Mounting NIGHTMARE
I bought this rack for a Gravely proturn 452. The lack of adjustability makes mounting this piece to an angled ROP bar an absolute nightmare. If you mount it too low, the trimmer obstructs getting on and off the mower. Mount it too high and it sticks so far out the back of the machine that you have to be VERY careful working around trees, shrubs and other obstacles. I can't count how many times I've bent mine. Now, the straps....after only 2 months, the front strap broke and I had to resort to using a rubber strap to secure my trimmer. It would be far better if they used a padded latch type holder. Conclusion: Would I purchase again? YES! It's a very heavy duty built rack but it does need tweaking. I plan on welding it to my ROP bar thus removing the need to adjust it. ... show more

This trimmer rack works really well. It mounted easily on my Gravely ZT HD with ROPS. I was able to shave off at least 30 minutes on my large 5 acre property because I wasn’t walking everywhere to move the trimmer. I like to trim as I go with a lot that big. Great value for the money.     • Nice strong trimmer rack.
Like all Jungle Jim products, the rack is well made, solid, and easy to install. Only "issue" I had is that it does not come with clamps for a 2x3 ROPS Bar, but that was easily solved with a quick trip to the harware store.
