The Worx Nitro WA0221 Driveshare 10 in. Universal Brush Cutter Attachment turns your Nitro String Trimmer into a Brush Cutter so you can clear thick brush, heavy vegetation, weeds, and more. Prepare wooded lots to be landscaped, create pathways and trails, or maintain dense or overgrown lawns with the Worx Driveshare String Trimmer you already own. With a large blade diameter of 10 in. and an impressive no-load speed of 6700/min, you’ll make quick work of tough jobs. This Brush Cutter Attachment weighs less than 4 lbs. (3.97 lbs.) so you can work for long hours and feel less fatigue. Plus, the blade is constructed of heavy-duty steel, so it’s designed to last for the long run. The Brush Cutter Attachment is part of the Driveshare system. You can turn your Worx Nitro Driveshare String Trimmer (WG186—sold separately) into a Brush Cutter and add attachments later to also turn it into a Hedge Trimmer (WA0220), Pole Saw (WA0222), or Edger (WA0223—all sold separately). It's an entire lawn or property detailing system on just one String Trimmer. What’s more, each attachment has universal compatibility and fits with most split-shaft designed string trimmer systems from other brands, like Ryobi, Craftsman, Troy-Bilt, and TrimmerPlus, and the attachments from those brands will also fit the Worx Nitro Driveshare String Trimmer. You can mix and match for your convenience.

So I bought this to help me clear the back yard. So far it works really great. The batteries last longer than I expected. One issue is, if you look down the shaft you'll see that the drive shaft is super thin. I believe that IF it breaks thats where it will occur. I think that as long as you're not trying to clear large shrubs with large stems you'll be fine. I was mowing through weeds that have approx 1in stems. The tool did a great job. Extremely useful brush cutter. Feels well made, all metal, not plastic. The quick, universal attachment makes it easy and quick to change attachments. This brush cutter easily cuts through tall grass and weeds. It even cuts through small saplings that a string weed cutter will not even touch. I have already used this to clear under some trees and in areas where a lawnmower cannot get and is too heavily overgrown for just a string weed eater. The time this attachment has saved me compared to using a pair of lopping shears, it literally cut hours off the work. Well worth the money.     • Great product but assembly instructions not consumer friendly
I have used Worx products for several years without any assembly issues. This brush cutter pictorial instruction is terrible. Adding further complication, assembly parts were missing. The string trimmer instructions were perfect. I called WORX for help but the young lady really tried her best, even looked for a video of the NITRO series attachments.....nothing. Very disappointed. I will now try to use my non-environment friendly "GAS" Brush Cutter. 😡😡 ... show more

Quality of shaft material is questionable. Feels more like hard plastic or PVC more than metal. I've used it less than 10 times. Time will tell.

    • Guard not long enough
Works on the Dewalt attachment capable power head. Took off a star because the guard doesn't protect well around the left side and the cutting head keeps launching debris at my face and left arm.
